Been going through some 90's catalogs recently...

Alice in Chains are the standout for me so far.

Gotta throw Green Day in there too. They blew up in the 90's.

Gotta get my boys Soundgarden in there as well.

Opeth

Found the person with good music taste. Because it certainly wasn't any horrible grunge band.

90s kind of stunk but I like Foo fighters and Bon Jovi.

As I scroll down my playlist, I have a lot of random single songs from bands like Van Halen, black sabbath, u2, radiohead, nsync, ac/dc, guns n roses, green day but one song doesn't make me a fan of any.

Is Linkin Park considered 90s? I am a huge fan of their stuff, but all of their best stuff released in the early 2000s

Meh Alice in chains is a distant 4th of the big 4 grunge acts. Although punk fans like them more than Pearl Jam.

RATM first album in 1992 was lightyears ahead of anything else during the time.
I'd also add Nine Inch Nails since no one mentioned them yet.

Metallica was the best band of the 80s, not the 90s.

It is more of the band of 80's though. After that they made some big hits here and there but were not as great as before.

Heh.

Blur, Suede, The Stone Roses, Pulp, Manic Street Preachers, Supergrass, etc are better.

"Trent Reznor is my generation's most talented musician"

-Dave Grohl

after NIN....I'd say Perry Ferrell had the most impact in the 90s, he created Lollapalooza and basically spearheaded the alt rock scene of the 90s
