This is odd. I mean even if you barely played in the playoffs, you still had a role in the regular season...

"I came in when (Kevin Durant) went down, playing a consistent 20-25 minutes. The game KD comes back, I get hurt maybe a week before the playoffs and I’m out of it," Barnes said. "I got a free ride, I got a free ring.”

Barnes averaged 5.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and 20.5 minutes per game in the 20 regular-season games he played with the Warriors that year.

But it was a different story in the playoffs.

"I didn’t sweat ... I didn’t get to guard LeBron (James)," he said. With Durant fully recovered, Barnes played just 61 minutes in 12 playoff games.

And for that reason, he concluded: "I don't count that as a championship."

If he doesn't want it, I'll be happy to sell it on ebay for 100% donation

Deep down, if I knew I made no real contribution to winning that title, the ring would mean almost nothing to me. Barnes could've quit the team and it would've literally had no impact on whether the Warriors won or not. I'd only pick it up to sell it and donate the proceeds to charity

Yep, this is the right move. If you truly don't feel you were a part of the team... then donate/auction/sell.

Agreed. Combine that with the injury and recovery, and there's no shame in accepting the ring. He contributed more than almost any role player we say got a free ride.
