“[Kobe] strived so hard to be Michael Jordan. When I go back and I look at his videos and I say to myself, ‘Damn he was better than Michael Jordan. He worked so hard. This kid came out of high-school. He didn’t go play for North Carolina under a Dean Smith,” Pippen added.

At this point it's easier to say who isn't better than Michael Jordan.

Kobe shot worse than his team from the field, while Michael actually shot better than his team from the field. Consider that Kobe got open looks from mid-range for the first half of his career due to playing with Shaq. Michael did not get those types of looks; he had to create space for his shot each time/"create his own shot", and there has never been anyone who could do that as well as him.
Kobe was also given pampered treatment in terms of extra free throws, whereas Michael earned his free throws a lot more.
Kobe was a ball stopper. He liked to play in isos. This suggests that Kobe's style of play was that of a ball hog, while Michael's was conducive to winning due to being so unexpectedly efficient.
Michael moved the ball more, though he was more ball dominant early in his career than Kobe was.
Despite Kobe being a great defender, Michael was still the better defender of the two. Michael's effort could be seen all over the court, whereas Kobe contributed more of his effort towards shooting. Michael set records for steals, as well as blocked shots by guards, he was a great rebounding guard; his insane vertical leap surely helped him here, all of his All-Defensive team selections were first team (and many think it should have been a 10th First Team for his 1987 season), culminating in the NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award in 1988, something Kobe never got close to winning.
There's never been a shooting guard better with the ball than Michael, and there's also probably never been a better shooting guard off the ball either considering that the defenses were throwing doubles and triples at him relatively quickly into his career.

Meltdown, bitch.
By the speed you responded you definitely have these saved in some Google docs ready to go, like a weirdo.
Can't handle MJ's best teammate spitting truth, eh, babyboy?
Hilarious how you switched to 2Ball account after either getting banned or being bullied by 12 year olds on a message board into doing it because MJ sucked at the 3 ball.

Also at the end of the video:
When people have asked you Lebron or MJ, what do you say?
Pippen: I’m taking MJ all day every day.

That was before The Last Dance. He might go back to calling LeBron GOAT again now.

Also Scottie:
May '17: LeBron hasn't surpassed Kobe.
Dec. '17: LeBron probably ahead of MJ.
Week later: LeBron needs 6 rings.
Another week later: MJ over LeBron.
May '18: Unfair to compare LeBron and MJ.
Feb. '19: LeBron's not what MJ was as a player. Or Kobe.

This is amazing.
Pippen like many others before him, just officially disqualified himself from his opinion being worth jackshit...
it isnt just because of the opinion itself, its because of the contradictions and backtracking and flip-flopping.
Seat yourself next to Chuck and Shaq, Pip.

I don't even care about the statement itself. Whatever at this point. But how does he lack this much self-awareness in terms of the inconsistencies of his own viewpoints over the years?

This shit reminds me of 3ball changing his top 10 list every 3 days. You lose all credibility when you flip flop your opinions that frequently

Statistically obviously no but when you watch him play he's a improved version of Jordan so I agree.

Yeah, I'm sure Lebron has no idea what that feels like.

As far as notable personalities who've offered their takes he's a really extreme case.

He's giving praise to a guy who just recently died in a tragic way, take it with a grain of salt in terms of bball talk.

There are plenty of ways to do that without saying that :oldlol:
