From 1979 to 1986 Bird was the best player in the league and then 2nd in 87 and 3rd in 88. After that he was constantly injured till 92.

Slight disagreement. KAJ was the best until 1981 but it was Bird from then until 87' when Magic surpassed him.

I would rank Moses Malone over Kareem as 2nd to Bird from 79-83.
