Just watched some Yao Ming games in the fiba asia, and asian games. Even when Yao was hurting. They still forced him to play for their national team.

Playing one or two off seasons didn’t hurt him

The coaches who wanted him to bulk up should be blamed. A 7'6 guy should be very thin to have any durability in the NBA.

Well they needed Yao to play center... nobody on that Chinese team could play that well like Yao.

The only game he must play is 2008, other FIBA games he should rest.
