View Full Version : The end of small business in America

A couple months ago, small businesses nationwide (especially retail) were forced to shutdown to protect people from a supposed pandemic. Meanwhile, companies like Amazon, Walmart, Costco, Target, Kroger, etc... were all deemed "essential" and allowed to stay operational and continue to sell non-essentials like clothing and electronics that were being sold by many of the small businesses that were forced to close.
Anyone who dared to question any aspect of the lockdown was smeared as a conspiracy theorist who wants to kill everyones grandma, and people who didnt want to wear a mask were accused of wanting to kill their fellow americans.
After a month of lockdown, a few states started to re-open because it was clear that the supposed "pandemic" was not nearly as bad as it had been claimed to be. After 2 months of lockdown, most of the nation had reopened or was on the verge of re-opening (despite the fact that the "experts" and "scientists" who originally sold the pandemic shutdown were claiming that reopening now would result in disaster)... then a video of police unjustly killing a black man is broadcast all over the mainstream media, and virtually overnight the same authoritarian democrat mayors/governors who had ordered their police to arrest anyone who broke quarantine were suddenly telling their citizens to go out into the streets to protest police brutality. As these protests gained steam, people began looting/burning/destroying small businesses in cities nationwide (to be fair, they did also loot a couple targets, a couple CVS, and a bunch of foot lockers too).
While small business has been devastated by the corona lockdown and seems to be getting devastated again by these protests, many of the largest companies in america have had the best couple of months in their entire history - Amazon stock is up ~45% since the lockdown began in mid march. Walmart is up 20%. Target is up 30%. Facebook is up 60%. Google is up 30%. Microsoft is up 35%. Apple is up 30%... all this while the unemployment rate has skyrocketed from ~5% to somewhere around ~20-30% over the same time period.

9/11, Corona, Floyd riots
The same political machine exploiting them all in calculated and merciless fashion.
Got partisan America afraid to call it out when it’s from their ‘side.’ As long as the exploitation switches back and forth between parties and keep the division up, shit stays workin.
The irony is the machine is only fake partisan. A facade. But the public follows suit and solidifies into real partisans.

This is much bigger than the end of small business.
This is the end of America as we know it and the end of being the world’s leading superpower. The dollar is going to collapse as the fed continues to print for all of the unemployed people. They’re going to eventually take us to negative interest rates.
Hopefully it’s also the end of global fractional reserve banking.
The US population size is going to take a drastic hit... **** gold and guns, if you don’t know how to produce food or hunt you may be in for a really really bad time in the coming years.
If we had just taken our medicine in 2008 things would have been worse short term and better in the long term. We doubled down and now it’s all but over.

Also I’m still not unconvinced that we’re already in midst of war with China. It would not surprise me in the slightest if they had some intelligence agencies working on game theory and had figured out what the media would do with the coronavirus story and how that would unfold in terms of crippling the global economy.

I dont disagree
I've been thinking about buying property out in the sticks for a couple years now, but ever since the covid lockdown began I have been kicking myself in the ass for not selling my city house and buying my rural land in 2019 while the city values were absurdly high and the rural prices were crazy low... i think thats gonna be completely flipped soon.

Listen -- as a liberal, I understand the importance of community organizations.
Small businesses by in large, are an extension of the community -- they act as cultural hubs.
It's what gives places like "Little Italy" that flair.
That's why I'm pledging we create more "crisis supplements" to give our little guys afloat, in the stormy times.
Also important; It's a common misconception that conservative policies are good for small businesses...
This is unequivocally, demonstrably NOT TRUE.
Let me explain...
1. Regulation is actually good
- The Dodd-Frank Act protects many small businesses from dubious corporate titan tactics
- Section 1071 cites that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) MUST record stats on minority/women lending
2. Tax proposals aren't really about helping small businesses
- The rich have slippery work-arounds to dodge the tax man
- Small businesses can't afford these loopholes
3. The Affordable Care Act HELPS small businesses
- Helped tonnes of small business owners get healthcare
- Studies have shown that without healthcare, individuals are less likely to go into business

These alternative flu bugs pop up and make headlines every few years tho.
It’s up the to the US media/govt to decide which ones to just do the typical “scary/interesting headlines good for a bunch of clicks for a few weeks” thing as usual, and when to leverage one for a full on national fear campaign.
The fear campaign was bound to be exploited in the run up to a Trump reelection, by the MASSIVELY globalist backed Anti-Trump agenda.
I dont think most people realize how badly America’s truly evil low-key string pullers actually want Trump out. He’s too much of a wildcard they cant control. And especially as a lame duck... he could get to exposing all sorts of shit for kicks.
The kind of people who would set up 9/11 and then invade half the world are the ones who want Trump out.
And theyve got millions of brainless emotional uneducated sheep convinced Trump’s the main reason we should be worried :lol

Not only were they ahead of the situation and able to capitalize on it... but they have been actively perpetuating these situations. "Doctor" Bill Gates was arguably more influential in starting the covid lockdown than anyone else in the entire country, when this idiocy started he was on every news show in the country telling us how in his highly-trained expert medical opinion it was extremely important for us to shut everything down and save lives (until his vaccine is ready to save the planet), yet without selling a single dose of vaccine Doctor Bill has already added billions to his net-worth thanks to his shutdown. Amazon was more than happy to tell people to stay home and save lives during covid, but now that George Floyds death apparently cured covid, Amazon stands with the protestors (the protestors who are smashing and looting all their competition). Google has been suppressing articles that suggest that covid wont be the end of the world, and they have been suppressing doctors and scientists who post youtube videos with covid opinions that are contrary to their chosen narrative... but after 2.5 months of promoting the narrative that we all have to cower-in-place, they suddenly have no problem with mass gatherings of people.

Well said everyone. :applause:
If these events weren’t completely manufactured, they were at least exploited by the powers in be in order to consolidate wealth and power.
We have too many low iqs who act like animals as the media chums the waters over and over. That is the problem. We can’t exactly do away with free press, it would end up harming more than helping. I don’t see a solution.

Truly is a weird situation with a few angles on it.
E.g I noticed here a few days ago that people were still putting it up as all the liberal channels vs Fox that represents all of the right. But if you read something like The Donald forum, there isn't much love for Fox news at all and they certainly don't feel represented by them. Mostly it's only Tucker who's popular.
But yeah, truly crazy to see how covid worries disappeared over night.

OP spot on again. In my line of work I've personally seen the devastation and hurt to small food vendor and restaurant suppliers, while our chain store business is off the hook, it's honestly never been better.
For brick and mortar small businesses, the food service industry are our last stand against the corporate giants and internet business. We thought that small business sector at least would be safe for a while...then COVID-19 came along. We were dead wrong.

Fox repesents the establishment right - aka the neocons and bush family types ... for the most part they hate Trump, mostly for the same reasons that outlets like MSNBC and CNN hate Bernie
How crazy is it that Tucker is basically the only person on the entirety of cable news who ever speaks the truth about anything these days? I remember laughing at him when John Stewart went on his show and clowned him back in 2004... never would have guessed that Tucker would become the only guy in cable news that is even remotely worth listening to, while at the same time all the Stewart acolytes like Cobert and John Oliver and Samantha Bee have gone on to get their own shows and become the exact type of predictable partisan media personality that Stewart used to mock.

15-20 years of idealogical subversion to produce all these SJW mentality
6 weeks to manufacture crisis and destabilize
leaders swoop in and promise free everything, before you know it we're living under martial law.
The only thing i dont agree with is him saying the capitalists are selling the rope from which they will hang. You know the bezos, musks, gates, buffets, etc. I think we have transformed into a quasi-capitalist communist country where they are the true rulers, and it is the government that bows to them for their money.

As a small business owner, I was already at a disadvantage when trying to compete for work against the big players. Hilarious how they are having record profit years and yet some of them qualified and sucked dry the first round of PPP loans.
A lot was revealed this year. I don't even care anymore tbh, it's all one big headache if you think about it often.

I don't keep track of all the things he has said recently, but it doesn't surprise me that he will attack everyone and doesn't need to stick to a side.
Must be a conspiracy :oldlol:
