Guys we talk about as shooters from those days were more often straight up scorers and not the specialists we have so many of now. All of them were better than their raw scoring suggests when you compare them to many guys now. Whatever my opinion of Reggie vs whoever he was obviously a better total scorer than the points he scored a game.

Yeah they are more fundamentally sound on the way they play back then, valuing their shots more and taking what the defense gives as opposed to the shooters of today wherein most of them let it fly with just little daylight.
