More power to them. No one is denying their son got a raw deal by the cops. Hopefully this huge sum comes into play in the minds of those that decide how much taxpayers are on the hook for when a civil settlement or award is given

I do not begrudge her doing this. No-one is forced to donate. I will add that once she pays for the legitimate expenses listed it would be nice if she donated the excess to help some of the areas affected by riots to help them rebuild instead of pocketing the excess.
