No, MJ would be clueless what do to in that setup...
And that ain't no cherry-picked highlight.. the that's the standard
Look how many options MJ would have - he could be the wide open corner shooter, or the wide open screen setter... Or of course, he could dominate the ball like Morant until he's ready to accumulate a stat
48/8/8 in today's game for MJ with a lottery cast.. he'd have an extra 10 feet of space against the same number of defenders (5)

#45 MJ
So he was rusty and couldn't tell that he should spin off Mugsy when Mugsy used his midsection to body MJ
That's when spinning off a guy works - when they body the offensive player... Took mj an off-season to get it back

Curious fact 19 year old trolls will flip into being an insult because they are here to make bad posts on purpose?
Muggsy was one of the toughest on ball defenders in basketball history and in fact made people change positions to avoid him and forced some teams to keep a bigman who could handle the ball a bit in so if he made the point pick up his dribble bringing it up hed have someone to throw it to. You can go watch even people with handles like Nick Van Exel throw it to Vlade because Muggsy would occasionally just not let you dribble.
You needed really tight handles to dribble forward vs him if he wanted to press. Rod Strickland. Tim Hardaway. Isiah Thomas. Im sure Kyrie could have. A lot of the AI influenced wide crossover looser handle guys of today would have trouble if they let him play physical....which is why some of the modern handle 90s guys like NVE struggled. He had handles....but closer to what we do now. Not the super low ball protection handles of the 70s- early 90s. He was too quick and aggressive when he wanted to pester you.
Thats why people posted him up his entire career....and why he got good at stripping people doing it. He couldnt handcheck now but at the same time the way people were forced to play vs him would be illegal today. The 5 second backdown rule would make people pass or come at him straight up. He would make a lot of people look bad today.....except the people with a little throwback game who would just fadeaway him to death.

Serious question...
Why didn't MJ (or anyone over 6-3 for that matter) just take the 'open' jumper over mugsy whenever he was on him.

Your telling me 5"1 Mugsey Bogies put so much fear into offensive scorers that they avoided him :roll:
I don't care how "tough" you are if a 5"1 midget tries checking me on the basketball court I am scoring every time

What 3Ball is describing as "Mickey Mouse" is the "Spain PnR" where you have someone run up and set a backscreen for your screener.

Anyone that struggles to score on a 5"1 midget doesn't deserve to be in the NBA

A midget calling another midget out?
Stfu manny we all know you are less than 5" son, get on your knees and continue to blow Lebron
The only thing you are scoring is your mom

I'm 5"11/6ft with a 6"4 wingspan babyboi
I would literally shoot over midget Mugsey every possession and he would be left helpless against it :oldlol:

No offense but your world view is incredibly naive and you have a ton of growing up to do. One day... but today is not the day... tomorrow isn't looking good, either.

To clarify, back when he was actually in the NBA... there isn't a person on these boards that Muggsy Bogues wouldn't completely, utterly and embarrassingly take a huge ****ing shit on their head when competing in a game of basketball.
Hell, the man is 55 years old and that's still probably the case.

Mugsey Bogues needs some growing up to do as well because he won't be able to guard me with his head literally going up to my bellybutton

notice how the rim protector couldnt leave his man until it was too late because of illegal defense rules.

muggsy bogues grew up in baltimore and got shot when he was 5 years old, stray bullet.
:biggums:
that guy was born tough.
i also find it funny people think he quit because MJ called him a ****ing midget. He was literally called that his whole life.
they wouldnt even let him play pickup in his hood.

Yes that's one of the infinite spaced-out setups that is FAR easier offense than no spacing
Look at all the room .. it's a joke... The neat spacing and no-contact feel makes it look more like a dance rehearsal than basketball
It isn't basketball.. its beginner basketball that requires less skill because of all the extra space
