Not only is Kobe gone, but our country has gone through unprecedented times. They have to worry about corona during the remaining games. They also have to worry about violence and riots. So much can go wrong, plus there will have been a 5 month break. Some teams aren’t even “invited” to come play.
You know in your hearts that this should be a charitable tournament and not part of the NBA championship. They are breaking the usual rules in order to finish the season. Since when are you allowed to restructure in the middle of the season?
Whoever wins will not get credit. This is tainted.

You’re allowed to restructure when there’s a global pandemic that shuts everything down in an attempt to finish what was started. Imagine how many players and coaches would be fed up if they just outright cancelled the season.

Are you suggesting the NBA championship wasn't tainted before this year's?

Consider it like a lockout season. Things are a little bit different but the show must go on.
Rings will still be given out and worn so unless you can prevent that the winners will still get credit.
Are you suggesting the NBA championship wasn't tainted before last year's?
Fixed that for ya, drunkard.

Honestly, imagine LeBron manages to win this season and has all 4 championships tainted :roll:
1. Beating 20 year olds after colluding and JJ Barea and Jason Terry.
2. Ray Allen bail out
3. Kylie Irving bail out
4. Compromised season.
Thats our LeFraud :cheers::cheers:

Beating 20 year olds Actually none of the 2012 Thunder players were 20 years old. Everyone on that squad was at least older than 20 years old. No excuses for the 2011 Finals though. Epic meltdown by LeBron.
From a talent perspective
2012 Thunder
KD- 2nd in MVP shares, All-NBA (1st)
Westbrook- All-NBA (2nd)
Harden- 6MOY
Ibaka- All-Defensive (1st)
----------------------------------
2012 Heat
LeBron- MVP, All-Defensive (1st), All-NBA (1st)
Wade- All-NBA (2nd)
Note: I'm not including past or future achievements because players may decline, suffer injuries, or may portray a player in a different light so we are just focusing on 2012 nothing else.
So the teams were evenly stacked with talent. P.S. The Thunder had a 12-3 run throughout the POs defeating the defending champions, the favored Lakers, and the San Antonio Spurs.
Ray Allen bail out
Completely ignoring that LeBron put up 16 points on 64% FG while dishing 2 assists. He accounted for 20+ points including assists in the 4th qtr alone. Not every PO game is in the final minute. You have to take in other factors like the rest of the 47 minutes or OT. Also LeBron scored the go ahead layup in OT, yet it's not mentioned.
Also the Heat had Game 7 to play and Ray Allen put up 0 points in the win so Ray Allen saved his legacy right?
Note: I completely agree that the Ray Allen's shot altered legacies like Duncan's and LeBron's you are just portraying it in a wrong way.
Kylie Irving bail out You spelled "Kyrie" wrong. Nonetheless you are forgetting LeBron's 11 points in the 4th qtr too. Once again completely ignoring the rest of the game and focusing on the final moments of a game.

To contribute to the thread, why call it an asterisk? Every single team in the POs will be following the same rules. Unless a team gets a significant unfair advantage (changed rules, etc) then there's no asterisk.
