The only solace I take in restarting the season is that the players have had three months off at this point and shouldn't be exhausted from the 82-game haul. Hopefully, that makes the 1-8 and 2-7 series something other than total bore-fests.

Like the idea of a play-in game for the 8th seed no matter what. The MLB really landed on the mark with that, I thought. That game is exciting as hell.
