The 60’s was a historic time but it had lots of memorable songs. Songs that take you back. Now we have crap music. I’m not saying there’s no good indie music but there’s no classic hits that are gonna instantly take people back when we think of the corona, impeachment, riots, or Trump. Taylor Swift and all these pop stars don’t deliver like the old days. Even the 90s had better music. Today’s music sounds like youtubers putting noise together.

The music from the 60s lives on. In the future no one is going to care about old hashtags and old memes. So yes I agree we are in historic times. Who would have thought that some virus could spread like wildfire and keep everyone home for months? And then riots over racism at the same time. And Trump is in office. But why doesn’t the music match these times? What are the songs that we’ll cherish while remembering these crazy times?

It's actually sad that so many people think listening to Drake ect is where it's at. Absolute garbage.

Cardi B would do something. After that I really don't know. Kendrick Lamar??? I don't think so. J. Cole could.

i'd like to think Kendrick is going to drop a sick album sooner or later.

for the meantime, here's a lupe fiasco song that is relevant to our times:

50+ years in the future, the old folks are gonna be reminiscing about how they were listening to this classic oldie when they looted all the department stores in NYC

Thanks, that was on point. Ironic that one of his hits was "Dumb it down."
