You can't really blame Jerry West for losing 8 Finals and only winning 1 Finals. The Lakers' usual opponents were the Boston Celtics. The Celtics were just infinitely better in talent and defense.

West was a consistent player in crunch time hence the name "Mr. Clutch". He was a gifted player. He just didn't have the support.
