Bitcoin is not going to get you through anything in the coming months and years... it's not going to help you survive when you can't feed yourself because society is in shambles. You're going to need to be much more clever to survive that time period because things might even potentially devolve to the point where money is meaningless and the only things that matter are clothing, food, shelter and guns...
But humanity isn't going away, well, short of WW3 anyways which is pretty much impossible to predict, and Bitcoin will be poised to dominate the global financial system post collapse.
Educate yourself. Be ready.
70-80% of you are going to die. I tried to warn you. I've tried to warn you so many times, only to be met with ridicule and to be scoffed at. Just don't EVER say that nobody told you and nobody saw it coming. It's coming. I'm telling you. Ridicule away.

Until you realize that's not at all how that works.

If 80% of us are about to die in a chaotic fire of economic collapse, the last you would want is meaningless code in cyberspace...my advice would be to spend up what you have NOW and then if you are in the remaining 20% who lives to see the aftermath take a gun and fcking shoot yourself in the head because that life won't be worth living.

Dude, 100% of us will die, I mean, we are all going to die at last. So I do not think that your words are really.... great. Even more, I do not agree with the fact that the global central banking system is collapsing. I mean, let's be realistic, the most important thing right now is MONEY! You literraly cannot do anything without it. And the banking system is probably the best what is happening to us right now, they control the money, not the government. While buying bitcoin... well did you see the bitcoin price (https://freebitco.in/site/bitcoin/)? Honestly, I do not think it will ever reach this value again? I mean, the max it will reach, it will be 30k, and then it will start dropping, that is my own opinion. So when it will drop, that is going to be the right time to buy them.

The problem is people have been making this exact same argument for years. Every time there is a spike people insist it is time for the bubble to burst. I remember people saying it would never breach $1000 again! I'm not saying you're definitely wrong, but without supporting arguments there's no reason to think this way. The fact is bitcoin is still a long, long way from its full potential of a ubiquitous, global currency. Also, I'm not saying it will reach that potential (or even close to it), but there's no reason to think it will plateau long-term below its current value. If I misread your comment, and you are only talking about shorting the normal pullbacks, then OK that's fine.

assuming things dont get too bad bitcoin seems like a decent investment, but its a pretty bad investment if you think the world is headed toward an economic collapse bad enough that the things that will matter are stuff like clothing, food, shelter, and guns...
when a person is facing starvation they are going to trade bars of gold for food... so in a full societal collapse you will obviously be far better off having invested your money into shit thats actually useful - canned food, bullets, medical equipment, warm clothes (especially socks), etc... rather than bitcoins.

This. Just look at what people stockpiled at the start of the pandemic. TP, canned food and alcohol.

Diversify. Buy stocks, buy some bitcoin, buy small amount of gold, keep some in cash. Don't just put all eggs in single basket.
