pat ewing would feast on centers today, and specifically if he had some combo of dwayne wade / chris Bosh / kyrie irving / kevin love instead of the john starks he had in the 90s, and he didnt have to go through any players of MJ or Hakeem level like he had to go through in the 90s.. I think ewing could have a few rings too in Bron's shoes. One things for sure.. hell never quit.. and make the team even more absurd defensively.. better fit imo as true big man to perimeter wade and kyrie

If Ewing had higher efficiency than a SF in one series of his career (the defining series of his career per certain stans on ISH--squeaking by in the second round with Pete Myers replacing MJ), doesn't that mean he forevermore would have higher efficiency than any other SF? Since LeBron is a SF, ergo Ewing>LeBron. Ewing is second GOAT right behind MJ.
Am I getting ttrolls' "logic" right? :lol

I agree. I have Ewing 3rd all time after MJ and Kareem, but I think I might be underrating him.

Southbeach is being sarcastic... i think. :lol
but is what he saying far off?
Is Ewing not above every center in today's league by a country mile besides jokic?
If he had the success he had with john ****ing starks as his lead guard, how could he not do better with wade and kyrie? (absolutely absurd upgrades)
If he got to face derozan and lowry and millsap and hibbert and rose instead of MJ, bad boy pistons, and reggie every freaking year just to make the Finals?
The man would've won more than Lebron given the same exact circumstances.

You can't really refute it though.
Ewing isn't a level above Joel Embiid no matter how much you overrate him. Lmao at Ewing winning in 2013 or 2016. The Warriors would run him off the court.

Yes... yes he is lmao.
it's embarrassing he grew up in africa and is so soft.
Although... i didnt even know this. But Ewing grew up in Kingston, Jamaica.
No wonder he was so gangster.

You hating Embiid isn't a good reason. All stats point to Embiid playing at a similar level to peak Ewing.

Let’s do my favorite comparison and hope I don’t get banned for doing it. (Some people really do not like this)
If Patrick Ewing did what LeBron did in 2010...
LeBron James at 25 years old joined up with the 2nd and 4th highest PER in the league...
Patrick Ewing was already an All Star in 1987-1988 at 25 years old. Now imagine if Patrick Ewing left the team he was drafted by to join up with the 2nd and 4th PER in the league.
Patrick Ewing would be pairing up with Larry Bird(2nd in PER) and Clyde Drexler (4th in PER) at 25 years old in his prime...
Safe to say he would establish a dynasty and secure far more than two championships.

Ewing is a level above Joel Embiid. Plain and simple.
What I'll say about Embiid. This guy can be about as good as any center. He's supremely talented.
As far as their peaks till now? Ewing is much better than Embiid, or Jokic. At their peaks, so far, neither guy is a top 5 player in the 90s, or a top 5 player now.

He’s legit killed someone before. I just tried to google the story and can’t find it. Patrick stays packing though :lol

You could actually still make your case without putting an all time great (Drexler) in place of Bosh because as bad as what Lebron did that shit is not the same. How about going for someone like Derrick Coleman who had great numbers on bad/average teams like Bosh/Love?

Yeah, using PER is stupid and makes said poster (blocked so I read via your response) no different than a lot of the stans he so dislikes.
As great as Wade is -a favorite of mine- he isn't Bird, and Bosh isn't in Drexler's tier.
Also Ewing is a big man, so when you combine him with players like that the fit is much easier. Wade and LeBron worked well together, but Bosh didn't fit and the ball dominance around him led Wade to stupidly hand it over to James. Never the way it should have had to go.

How was that stupid? You really think Wade should've been the primary ball handler/scorer over LeBron in '12 & '13?

You have to remember not everyone is high IQ like you and I. Sometimes people make outlandish comments that make no sense simply because they're hating. No one in their right mind would think to swap Lebron with ANY player in 2012 or 2013.
In 2012 LeBron averaged 30-10-5 on 50% for the entire playoffs en route to a championship. Only happened one other time in NBA history.
In 2013 LeBron beat the #6, #1, and #3 defenses back-to-back-to-back while beating the GOAT dynasty with four hall of famers in Kawhi, Parker, Ginobli, and Duncan and HOF coach Pop while putting forth the greatest carry job game 7 in NBA Finals history AND while winning a FMVP with his #2 option (Wade) scoring the second lowest ppg for any #2 option in NBA history for an entire playoff run.

What I mean is that he shouldn't have to step back for LeBron to step up. The next two seasons LeBron played without the ball better than he ever has.
Issue is Wade deciding he had to be #2, rather than let it happen naturally. And it would have, because LeBron is better.
Stupid not the right word, given they did win. But players should be able to coexist.
Or don't get together in the first place.

While I do think Wade made a proactive measure to take a backseat to LeBron, I think it honestly ended up playing out that way naturally anyway. The gap between the two of them had become pretty significant by 2012, LeBron had definitely played better and made improvements to his game after 2011, while Wade took a clear step back, and even with Bosh out for a lot of those playoffs, LeBron separated himself from Wade during those playoffs in a way he was never able to that entire first year together.
I agree with you that Wade wasn't able to play quite to his full capabilities with LeBron, and they were never an ideal pairing, but I think Wade would've become the clear 2nd option regardless of fit by that 2nd season together

Well I agree with that. For me, it's then and only then that LeBron became the best player in the league.

You are seriously underrating Chris Bosh. He was an 11x All Star before a non basketball related health issue made him retire. How many guys that make 11 all star games in a row are not considered an All time great? The disrespect Chris Bosh gets around here is absolutely insane.

If the team has enough scoring and solid big men already then Pippen. If not Bosh. Bosh is a much better shooter and scorer than Pippen. Chris Bosh is a stud defender as well. He’s a hyper athletic mobile 7 footer who can cover large areas of the floor to disrupt and contest. He’s an elite player.
If you don’t have a all time great locker room and leadership Pippen can raise problems too. His pouting, trade demands, legit quitting on his team and refusing to play the game deciding play in the biggest game of the season? All things considered...Scottie was a bit of a cancer that Jordan basically scared straight.
