The reason people respect Che way more than Fidel is because he was legit about the cause.

Debray described Guevara as "optimistic about the future of Latin America" despite the futile situation, and remarked that Guevara was "resigned to die in the knowledge that his death would be a sort of renaissance", noting that Guevara perceived death "as a promise of rebirth" and "ritual of renewal"

This dude was operating outside himself, while we are all stuck in our own perspectives.

A rich kid who voluntarily thrusts himself into extreme danger. He couldve had a easy life.

Fidel represented everything wrong with human beings. Extreme thirst for power, wealth and pleasure.

As nature would have it, the bad guy lived forever, and the good one died young.
