Kawhi vs Kobe first 9 seasons playoff comparison.

Kobe until 2005: 4556 playoff minutes

Kawhi until 2019: 3847 playoff minutes

Kobe VORP: 7.2

Kobe offensive & defensive win shares: 9.6, 3.9

Kawhi VORP: 9.3

Kawhi offensive & defense win shares: 11.0, 6.6

Conclusion: Comparing Kawhi vs Kobe their first 9 seasons playoffs. I helped Kobe out by not even including Kawhi's 9th season playoff run. Kawhi Leonard still wins with 2.1 more VORP and 4.1 more win shares then Kobe despite playing 709 less minutes.

It was a playoff thread but since you want to bring up regular season.

Kawhi has .1 less VORP in regular season compared to Kobe first 9 seasons. That's .1 less VORP despite playing 5,915 less minutes. Kawhi also has 10 more defensive win shares despite the MP 5915 gap.

Kobe had Shaq who was better then any player Kawhi had. Hell, I would argue even Pau Gasol is better then any player that Kawhi has had. This is just about Kobe until 2005 season though.
