I don't know. I think the only reason he won the election 4 years ago almost is because he went up against a woman. Far too many Americans are not ready to vote a woman into the Presidency, but on the flip side if he goes up against Biden there's 2 shitty democratic nominees in a row.

my impression is that the original BLM was a pretty unorganised and sketchy group that latched onto literally anything involving a black person being killed by a non-black person regardless of the details.
once the floyd video was released and it's a rather obvious case of legitimately documented police abuse/brutality, then the cause gets new light and they win over public opinion overnight despite incidents of rioting. The NFL, McDonalds, etc are all telling us black lives matter. White middle America has joined the movement, and most of the protests are peaceful....so maybe just maybe there's a chance we'll see actual change?

Fast forward a couple of weeks...and now we see more shit like CHAZ/CHOP, statues being torn down, random violence. It seems a lot less promising.

Personally I think most of the sane people have came and gone. Seems like it's reverted back to the original status quo, with perhaps an increased number of more race-obsessed lunatics advocating for a race war/civil war.

BLM movement was a result of people (particularly police) continue to suppress their lives to make them feel they wish they are dead. It arises a collective hidden tension that when they finally let it out, they feel alive.

From the surface, it could be a game changer . But deep beneath the surface, the problems are deeply rooted. Without self reflection , blaming others will not cultivate accountability. Let me put it this way, real changes comes from within.
