For Eric Green, Trey Lyles and Tyler London. In the same division.

I don’t have any kinda related question. I’m just saying....that happened.

It happened... and? The Jazz aren't winning a title and they're overpaying/will overpay those guys so they can continue to not compete and be irrelevant. Big whoop.

Does anything matter that didn’t lead to a title?

if the nuggets still had jokic on top of gobert and mitchell they could compete for a title.

The Nuggets also traded Nurkic for Plumlee lol.

Such a bad deal.

For teams? No. Not really. Just a bunch of noise.

For individual players? Sure, yes. Of course. Other things matter.

You get to judge teams and organizations based on titles... you don't really get to judge individuals... outside of very few outliers.

And tpols, there's no telling what other roster moves get made if certain trades don't happen. As fun as it is to play fantasy like that, to suggest that reality would play out exactly like it did otherwise were it not for that particular trade... is... disingenuous at best. Who's to say they take Jokic onto the roster with Gobert there? Impossible to say.

:oldlol:

Btw, would gobert still play in the postseason after triggering the suspension of the league almost 4 months ago?

Imagine having Gobert and Nurkic to use towards a trade of a legit player or maybe 3 legit rotation players.

And Mitchell in the backcourt with Jamal Murray? Yeah, that team is legitimate.

Odds are at least 1 or 2 of those 4 guys (Jokic, Murray, Gobert, Mitchell) do not become what they are today if they were all on the Nuggets. Jokic and Gobert were low picks, so imagine them both having to fight over minutes, the way Jokic used to with Nurkic. And their value in trades would not be what it is currently because they don't become the players they are now.

Erick Green led the NCAA in scoring and everyone knew he wasn't going to be good in the NBA lol.

The Jazz have remained competitive for decades now despite being a small market team. Yeah, they haven't won but they manage to always stay competitive despite never signing a big free agent.
