LeBron has a GOAT-esque catalog of magnificent playoff series to choose from, after all, he did make nine Finals. I'm curious to see if any players have even come close to LeBron's rookie playoff series. For starters we know that Kawhi hasn't even been able to match LeBron's rookie playoff appearance, as detailed below:

2017 Kawhi = 31-6-4 on on 55% fg, 48% 3p (quoted as someone as Kawhi's best playoff series ever)

21-year old LeBron's first ever playoff appearance:
2006 LeBron = 36-8-6 on 51% fg, 38% 3p

I know that Kobe also never matched this appearance. How many other all-time top 40 Kawhi and top 12 (Kobe) players can LeBron take down with only his first playoff appearance.

You can't leave out him averaging 6 TO's per game over a 6 game series

Stats are nice, but it's more important to win the game (and the series!) than just play well individually.

Back in 1995, when it was claimed that Hakeem Olajuwon's incredible numbers in the playoffs (33 ppg, 10.3 rpg) was best of any center in the history of the game, another person objected, saying that Wilt Chamberlain averaged 28 ppg and 30 rpg during the 1966 playoffs. I looked that up and lo and behold.

It was for 5 games. 4-1 loss to the Celtics.
:kobe:
In 1967, Chamberlain's numbers dropped to 21.7 ppg and 29.1 rpg, but for 15 games, and the Sixers won the title.

Which is more impressive?

In a team game, is it better to...

A. Score a lot of points and still lose?

Or

B. Be scoreless and still win the game?

The choice is yours.

LeBron won the series...

Got it.

As a rookie (not a third year player, mind you), Wilt Chamberlain averaged 33.2 ppg and 25.8 rpg in the playoffs, for 9 games.

Chamberlain holds 72 NBA records.

LBJ holds... how many records, exactly?

Wilt is a regular season afficionado. LeBron is the King of the Playoffs and has all the PLAYOFF records.

Lmao :oldlol:

While I'm glad that the warriors never won the title that year, a kid-made dog shit narrative like this just makes the 2016 champions look overrated.

Four years later and 2016 is still haunting them daily. Greatest championship of all time. What a beautiful sight.

Lebron is great, no doubt about that but there's no need for these ridiculous stans to suck his nuts 24/7.
