Hard to top Val Kilmer for me. Casey Affleck comes in a close second.

What are some other performances worth mentioning?

Unforgiven was probably my favorite out of the bunch.

I voted for Clint probably because I just watched that the other night. Ian McShane warrants some credit for a role that spanned a huge amount of time, but it's an old show many people probably haven't seen that didn't get a great ending, although the movie did it's best nearly a decade after the fact.
I think you can count No Country For Old Men as a Western, and Antan Chugur could qualify.

Gene Hackman in The Quick and the Dead.

I haven't seen a lot of those but Javier Bardem in No Country for Old Men was a bad ass performance.

Kind of surprised no one has voted for Casey Affleck yet. Has anyone seen that movie? That performance was amazing.

He was really creepy in that movie. I saw it along time ago and thought it was alright. I could appreciate them doing something a little different but I wasn’t a huge fan of the movie all together.
