Source that it's fake?
His source is called wishful thinking
The intelligence that assessed there was an effort by a Russian military intelligence unit to pay the Taliban to kill US soldiers was included in one of President Donald Trump's daily briefings on intelligence matters sometime in the spring, according to a US official with direct knowledge of the latest information.
That assessment, the source said, was backed up by "several pieces of information" that supported the view that there was an effort by the Russian intelligence unit -- the GRU -- to pay bounties to kill US soldiers, including interrogation of Taliban detainees and electronic eavesdropping. The source said there was some other information that did not corroborate this view but said, nonetheless, '"This was a big deal. When it's about US troops you go after it 100%, with everything you got."
Trump is not known to fully or regularly read the President's Daily Brief, something that is well-known within the White House
The information was serious enough the National Security Council staff held a meeting during the spring to discuss "possible response options," including sanctions, if the intelligence developed to the point it was deemed ready to take to the President for any possible action, the official said.

What are you saying is fake? It definitely hasn't been proven, stop the silly lying. The President has 7 high ranking people who have to tell him about this. He has talked with Russia five times since being first informed and was fighting and punishing the G7 for not treating Russia right since then. Staff knows he has treated Putin very well, tho. Trump said he just found out about Russia's trespass and the Times printed this on Friday. If he didn't know he has to fire several high ranking staff tomorrow. It's criminal that a cabinet can be this bad.

The sanctions that screwed over private enterprise and forced business through govt controlled channels? Somehow I don't think Putin minds that too much. The INF treaty is a tricky matter. It hurts Russia only if we start building nukes. Otherwise they only gain from not being in it.

The problem is that the Senate was too scared to hunt for truth. They aborted mission rather than fight for the people. But this blaming other people and creating false equivalences with civilians is absurd. I don't care about Hillary She's a nobody who brought some paperwork on Trump and failed to apply it. She didn't get caught going to our nemesis and telling them she is going to lift the sanctions punishing them for messing with out election. TRUMP’S EXPLANATION FOR IGNORING RUSSIA INTEL IS LOOKING WORSE AND WORSE
The White House reportedly had been told that Russia put bounties on U.S. troops in Afghanistan a year earlier than previously known—and even Republicans are demanding more information.
BY CHARLOTTE KLEIN
JUNE 30, 2020
The White House has apparently known of possible Russian bounties on Americans in Afghanistan since early 2019, pushing the timeline back a full year earlier than when the administration was initially thought to have learned of the intelligence. The shocking findings that a Russian military intelligence agency offered rewards to Taliban-linked militants for attacks on U.S. and coalition forces is something that President Donald Trump was previously reported to have known and done nothing about since late March, despite claiming on Sunday that no one told him about such information.
But the Associated Press reported on Tuesday that Trump was briefed at least twice on the matter in 2019, in his written daily intelligence briefings as well as by then-national security adviser John Bolton, who reportedly told colleagues in March 2019 that he had briefed the president on the intelligence assessment. Bolton declined to comment on this when asked by the outlet on Monday, but did suggest that Trump has a tendency to feign ignorance when trying to skirt accountability. “He can disown everything if nobody told him about it,” Bolton said on Sunday’s Meet the Press.
The AP previously reported that Trump was again made aware of the Russian bounty allegations at least two more times this year, in another written presidential daily briefing as well as in a discussion with national security adviser Robert O’Brien. O’Brien has denied discussing the intelligence with Trump and on Monday said the assessments “have not been verified,” an argument put forth by the White House to explain why the president was not, and has yet to be, briefed on the matter. But it is “rare for intelligence to be confirmed without a shadow of a doubt before it is presented to top officials,” notes the AP’s James LaPorta. “The administration’s earlier awareness of the Russian efforts raises additional questions about why Trump did not take any punitive action against Moscow for efforts that put the lives of Americans service members at risk.” (Russia has denied the bounty allegations).
The president has yet to authorize a response despite reports of potential options developed by career government officials, raising questions of government inaction and Trump’s kid gloves approach to Russia—and leaving Republicans scrambling to figure out how to address.
How hard is it for Trump to say "IF this is true, then he would do everything in his power to punish Russia and avenge/defend our troops"? He has no problem threatening our allies, but when it comes to Putin, he's a limp dicked nut hugger.

So what wolf are you talking about? And the real world? I predicted the riots.
Nobody cares about these drummed up controveries anymore except them. Name me a news outfit that hasn't covered it? You were given four options in the OP.
Was this fake news? Several posters predicted your response and those of your ilk. Do note that the President himself hasn't taken this position. He first said he wasn't told which is very alarming. He is now saying that it wasn't clear enough for him to make a move on it. So this means that you guys got it wrong at the very least which is amazing being that the President has taken two contradicting positions and I knew you guys couldn't fathom the fourth option.
Trump heard it and chose to ignore it? Yes this is one of the President's positions
Trump never heard about it? Yes this is one of the President's positions
Trump hears it now and will exact damage on Russia? I was clowned for having this as an option by two of the smarter posters around. Think about how telling it is that not one of his fans even could think that this was an option. Am I crazy or is this one of the most appropriate stances?
So how is it that we don't live in the real world when we could predict you would pick the only wrong answer? There was a reason why I put that one first and the most appropriate last. And that you and a couple of others still don't know that Trump eliminated the fake news story as an option.

Senate Republicans must be exhausted trying to keep up with scandals related to Trump and crazy things he says or does almost every other day. Especially with the elections right around the corner.
They keep getting asked but won't comment on Trump. They know they can't side with Trump without hurting their own reelection campaign with voters in their state, and they can't side against Trump without him lashing out. Senate Republicans stuck between two stones, but they have to reap what they sow.
It is very much possible they could lose both Senate and the White House.. I can almost guarantee they will all disavow Trump and turn on him if they lose the election, and we will be hearing lots of anger & comments of how they never supported or voted for Trump. Most Republican will say they never supported or voted for Trump as if Trump was voted in by magic :oldlol:

Yeah, the Senate said he won't do that type of impeachment behavior again and he just fired the Judge that has all of his finances under review. He's currently under the longest audit in human history if you listen to him.

https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/29/politics/russia-bounties-presidential-daily-briefing/index.html. England knew about it as well. Why was he calling Russia and being nice to them anyway. He was caught promising things to Russia when they were under punishment for interfering with our elections. Now bounties on our soldiers heads?
Expecting LOCK HIM UP chants from conservatives who wanted to throw Clinton in prison for the Benghazi stuff.

It was a blockbuster story about Russia’s return to the imperial “Great Game” in Afghanistan. The Kremlin had spread money around the longtime central Asian battlefield for militants to kill remaining U.S. forces. It sparked a massive outcry from Democrats and their #resistance amplifiers about the treasonous Russian puppet in the White House whose admiration for Vladimir Putin had endangered American troops.
But on Thursday, the Biden administration announced that U.S. intelligence only had “low to moderate” confidence in the story after all. Translated from the jargon of spyworld, that means the intelligence agencies have found the story is, at best, unproven—and possibly untrue.
“The United States intelligence community assesses with low to moderate confidence that Russian intelligence officers sought to encourage Taliban attacks U.S. and coalition personnel in Afghanistan in 2019 and perhaps earlier,” a senior administration official said.

So you are ok with Russia placing bounties on US soldiers. Good to know, traitor. Let's not forget that you want to nuke China. Hypocrite gonna hypocrite
That Russia placed "bounties” on the heads of U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan was one of the most-discussed and consequential news stories of 2020. It was also, as it turns out, one of the most baseless — as the intelligence agencies who spread it through their media spokespeople now admit, largely because the tale has fulfilled and outlived its purpose.
When the CIA or related security state agencies tell American journalists to believe something, we obey unquestioningly, and as a result, whatever assertions are spread by these agencies, no matter how bereft of evidence or shielded by accountability-free anonymity, they instantly transform, in our government-worshipping worldview, into a proven fact — gospel — never to be questioned but only affirmed and then repeated and spread as far and wide as possible.
