How many players do you have to have to field a team? (https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/nba-return-deandre-jordan-avery-bradley-davis-bertans-among-players-to-sit-out-rest-of-2019-20/#:~:text=DeAndre%20Jordan%20%2D%2D%20C%2C%20Brookl yn%20Nets%3A%20Sitting%20Out&text=He%20is%20the%20fifth%20Nets,Kevin%20Durant%2 0and%20Kyrie%20Irving.)

DeAndre Jordan -- C, Brooklyn Nets: Sitting OutJordan announced Monday that he would be sitting out after testing positive for COVID-19. "Found out last night and confirmed again today that I've tested positive for Covid while being back in market. As a result of this, I will not be in Orlando for the resumption of the season," Jordan tweeted (https://twitter.com/DeAndre/status/1277777538312478720). He is the fifth Nets player that has been ruled out for Orlando, joining Wilson Chandler, Nicolas Claxton, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

Spencer Dinwiddie tested positive and is symptomatic but not officially ruled out.

And in related news, Kyrie Irving had/has no plan. (https://clutchpoints.com/nets-rumors-kyrie-irving-initially-had-no-plan-after-asking-players-to-sit-out-season-restart/)

These bums have a playoff spot and could try doing something, anything, but don't care enough to compete... privileged losers.

I'm not refering to them.

I'm refering to players diagnosed with COVID and sitting out play a month away, when they will be fine in a week.

If I remember correctly you need 7 players dressed to play.

And you know how long it will take them to recover how? Some people have no symptoms and it's gone pretty quick. And some people have died. Pretty sure you're not their doctor to be diagnosing anything.

But young people, especially pro athletes? I'd have to think that's extraordinarily rare. I would think if anyone sits out, it's to prevent their loved ones from getting it

No, no athlete has died. In fact, most of them are never sick to begin with.

And, they wouldn‘t have needed to make the decision today.

It is completely unrealistic to expect them to be suffering from anything when the NBA will start.

You have taken the position of a bit of a muppet here.

Its not the doctor who decided this for them. They just don‘t care about the season with KD and Irving out. Use whatever brain you have.

If I remember correctly, you should only be paid if you do your job.

So my brain just told me that you aren't a doctor or any kind of authority. You don't know what these guys are going through or what their actual doctors have told them iye what kind of concerns they may have for other people Beyond themselves. My brain tells me you're just another ignorant loudmouth on the internet.

Their doctor has told them they're deathly ill and need to sit it out. Their doctor is Kyrie Irving.

Expect a lot of G-Leaguers to get a chance to audition in the NBA.

This would be a huge boon to the Raptors, who draw the Nets as the 2 seed.

Most likely the worst leader in the league but coronavirus is something most people don't know about and the medical community is still learning about. Caution is understandable.

Yes but without Durant the Raptors were going to destroy them regardless.

Gobert came out recently and said he’s still dealing with side effects. Read something else recently where they said we’re so behind in how we are dealing with this virus that we don’t have the luxury of doing a ton of research on the long-term impact on COVID survivors.

He claims that he still has trouble smelling smells from a distance. And few other things, but he isn't sure that they are attributable to COVID-19. Specialists told him it could take a year to fully recover.

Um no they weren't, we smacked them last time we played with no Kyrie & KD

isnt there a young soccer player died cos of covid19?

"The Bolivian FA confirmed the death of the 25 year-old Deibert Roman Guzman who played for Universitario del Beni."

To say 'Five players sitting out' is a bit misleading. Kyrie and Durant were never in to begin with.

A rarity, but he lived together with his father and uncle who also had Corona. That wasnt very smart, probably. Much stronger impact.

And he spent several weeks in the hospital. So how would it be more intelligent for Jordan to assume he'd be clear in a few weeks? Guess you aren't very smart.

Ouch. :oldlol:

Either way, I don't see these nets team entering the finals in the next three years or so. I believe either the craptors and loston have a very much better shot at that.
