I feel like the big test will be all at the start: flying to Orlando, settling in at Disney, getting used to the new environment, and of course, health tests those first two weeks.

After that, I feel like the coast should mostly be clear...

If security protocols are right, and team staff and players are kept very separate from Disney staff coming in-and-out, and those Disney staffers are all wearing masks and under CAREFUL scrutiny to be as careful as possible, then it SHOULD, on paper, be 99%+ safe.

This is true all these players, coaches, trainers, tv personnel etc. have all been hanging strong in the real world the past month if there’s going to be an outbreak I would think it would be in the beginning. If they follow the whole bubble outline there should be no way for the virus to get in.

They aren't going to be '99%+' safe. Utter garbage.

COVID-19 will undoubtedly penetrate their little bubble. There's a 100% chance. 100%.

Let me put this another way... does anyone think the players are going to confine themselves for the entirety of the seeding and entirety of the playoffs? And that there will be 0 cases?

Not to mention the staff?

Which is a testament to how over sensationalized the impact of this virus actually is.

Imagine if this was typhoid or diptheria or some shit. NOBODY would be taking a chance on congregating in some bubble.

The NBA knows this virus is nothing and wants to get its TV money. Meanwhile the rest of the idiot public is convinced by the news media to hide under their beds from dreaded corona flu!!!

Friggin clown world.

if thats the case, you must believe the shutdowns were totally unnecessary.

It legitimizes this bs. Reinforcing the new abnormal making it harder to ever go back to any semblance of the world we knew before the shutdown.

Ofc they would take the chance. It doesn't matter how bad it is eventually people are going to want to move on.
