One of the best examples of when a guy who isn’t the best player in a series is obviously the best player in the series.

The way people talk about Nelly knowing the mavs and all you would think he was schemed open or somehow given a big advantage but he was straight cooking dudes looking them in the eye.

Baron Davis for his prime put up very good playoff numbers... he's forgotten but he's better than any PG in the league today outside curry and chris paul.

he kinda reminds me of a more prolific and explosive lowry.

The energy of the crowd is simply on another level. A good buddy of mine got standing room only tickets to that game. Said it’s the best sporting event he’s ever been too. Was unlike any other.

Baron Davis was a hall of fame talent. He was a guy who didn’t care about stats or legacy...He just played. He could have been a great if he had a different focus.

What was up with Josh Howard being mavs best player that series. That has to be the worst playoff performance from the league MVP in NBA history by Dirk.

Baron was a good player before he was hurt, i guess his problem was he attacked the rim too much and didn't have a jump shot. This led to poor knees.

He was pretty much a playground point guard. I think he sometimes played stupid.

But he was terrific at his best. Always liked him. Played defense, too.

And that Warriors/Mavs series, like the Grizzlies/Spurs four years later, was a very good 8 seed...but the Warrriors weren't "as good" and it was pretty amazing.
