The Mongol Empire of the 13th and 14th centuries was the largest contiguous land empire in history. Originating in Mongolia, the Mongol Empire eventually stretched from Eastern Europe and parts of Central Europe to the Sea of Japan, extending northward into parts of the Arctic; eastward and southward into the Indian subcontinent, Mainland Southeast Asia and the Iranian Plateau; and westward as far as the Levant and the Carpathian Mountains.

The Mongol Empire emerged from the unification of several nomadic tribes in the Mongol homeland under the leadership of Genghis Khan (c.  1162–1227), whom a council proclaimed as the ruler of all Mongols in 1206. The empire grew rapidly under his rule and that of his descendants, who sent out invading armies in every direction. The vast transcontinental empire connected the East with the West, the Pacific to the Mediterranean, in an enforced Pax Mongolica, allowing the dissemination and exchange of trade, technologies, commodities and ideologies across Eurasia.

Sources say that Ghengis Khan may have shortened the average male ***** by over 2 and a half inches throughout his conquests across the globe.

Khan was a savage of savages. Dominated. Strangely, he was mentally defeated by a Romanic POPE

Mongols are a bit overrated because they were major statpadders.

A lot of the land they conquered was just nomadic, Eurasian steppe plains.

Comparatively, the Romans conquered hotly contested regions such as Asia Minor.

While impressive not quite as impressive as the Comanches. They would torture men by having women verbally/ mentally abusing their prisoners. Highly sophisticated for the time

Mongols or Genghis Khan? It seems he's the badass and not Mongols.

The Mongol Empire reached its greatest extent a few decades after the death of Gengis Kan, under Kublai Khan (who also started Yuan Dynasty in China).

The distance covered is mighty long plane ride today. Its like they had little resistance. He did impregnate that entire area as well. Is it 1 in every 4 persons today have his bloodlines in them in that area. Insane.

I wasn't implying this thread was offensive, moreso that some members like to exchange indirect diggs at each other and that involves taking something like this thread to an extreme (i.e. starface suggestimg segregation or shogun suggesting a berlin wall in the US).

But yeah, rr3 is totally trolling patrick with that lol. At least i hope so. Patrick is cuban i believe, so rrr3 is trying to strike a nerve.

The Mongols had the GOAT cavalry but all their flanking and open field tactics were useless vs the fortified defensive positions of The White Boys.

A lot of Mongol and Chinese historical record doesn't stand up to scrutiny. The numbers are almost certainly exaggerated when you dig into what the human populations likely were.

On top of that, Chinese battles are always absurd like "an army of 500 defeated an army of 200,000 and executed all the survivors".

Haven't read a thorough history book on this subject yet--but based on Age of Empires (they had a historical campaign on the Mongols) I think Genghis Khan was Tengri and during the later part of his life he spoke to different learned men about religions. I know many of his descendants converted to Islam--at least Tamerlame.

Either way, they are not the only ones who destroyed civilizations. Irregardless of "what they were" we receive punishment to wake us up. Be they warriors, storms, etc. Ideally, when the coronavirus came people should wake up and start praying profusely as we understand how fragile we really are.
