Robert Horry, he was an excellent defender. He also saved Lakers/spurs on 3 titles:

- the 02 WCF game 4 shot.

- the 05 finals game 5 shot

- the 07 cheap shot on Nash and suspending their team

He basically turned into an allstar in game 5 vs pistons 2005, it was shocking.

Ron Harper comes to mind. From 1987-93 he was basically a 20-5-5 player who provided good defense, yet never made the all-star team.

Rod Strickland never made an all-star team. In the 1997-98 season he won All-NBA 2nd team and led the league in assists, yet he still wasn't an all-star.

:biggums: Horry only hit double digits in scoring 3 times in his career w/12 ppg being his max.

7.6 BPM and 1.5 in 2005 playoffs are all-star level advanced numbers. His impact is mostly from defense but he can shoot as well. Goat 3 and d role player pretty much.

-Averaged 4.8 BPM with 2.8 VORP during the rockets 1994-1995 titles

- 4BPM in Lakers 2002 title run.

- 7.6 BPM and 1.5 in 2005 playoffs are all-star level advanced numbers.

Jalen Rose helped lead his team to a Finals berth. I guess peak numbers of around 20 pts 5 rebs 6 asts is not enough.

By far Odom

He was a 20/10 player until forced to come off the bench behind Gasol and Bynum

Played in the 04 Olympics and won 6moty too

Odom was a franchise player level talent. Too bad he never had that mentality to be great. Definitely one of my faves.

Good pick and not to mention he's also a #1 pick back then too

These kind of players should be described as "all-role" players. There are certain players who fill their roles so well that they can really put a team over the hump in the playoffs. The key factor among these types of players is that they also have a very strong mentality and can raise their game in important situations. Guys like Derek Fisher and Robert Horry come to mind as having an abnormal amount of clutch moments as role players.

Rod Strickland. Made an all-NBA 2nd team but never was an all-star. Second Lamar Odom and nominate Toni Kukoc as another. Kukoc spent nearly all his prime sacrificing numbers coming off the bench.
