That 2003 team is insane. Every single one of those guys were at or near their apex.

03/04 had Kidd so easily ahead of 03/04 in that sense.

80s would do 87/88. Hakeem, Charles, Larry, Michael and Magic.

58-59 with Russell, Petit, Baylor, Sharman and Cousy.

61-62 is insane. Wilt, Petit, Baylor, West and Oscar.

Agree on 71-72 but 73-74 is close.

Agree 90-91, with 89-90 (if that counts) super close.

80s has to be 88.

Hakeem, Barkley, Bird, Jordan, Magic... 5 guys all in the midst of top 15 peaks all time. Probably the best all league team ever.

2020 will end up the greatest of all time if they make it Luka/Harden/Kawhi/LeBron/Giannis

I thought about it but half the guys peaked in the 90s. But I thought about it for a LONG time.

I thought about it but half the guys peaked in the 90s. But I thought about it for a LONG time.

You have 3 consensus top 10 guys in or close to their peak (Jordan, Magic, Bird). Another one (Hakeem) a few years from his peak, but well and truly in his prime. And a 5th guy (Barkley) who was in the first of year of a 4 year peak worthy of an all time top 10 player, but he didn't reach that status due to his lack of longevity at that level.

Bird - 31yo - 30ppg on 56%efg
Jordan - 25yo - 35ppg, MVP, DPOY
Barkley - 25yo - 28ppg on 60%efg, 12rpg
Magic - 28yo - 20ppg, 12apg
Hakeem - 25yo - 23ppg, 12rpg

These are all peak/prime numbers to me.

Luka is the going to be the greatest point guard of all time, Giannis 2 time MVP, Kawhi the greatest winner of all time, LeBron the greatest point forward of all time, james harden with 3 scoring titles. I don't think you can come up with a better 1st team then that in NBA history, tell me one?
