I thought he was going to be a solid player in the nba after winning an NCAA Championship for Duke. And putting up some quality numbers in his senior season. Even winning ACC Player of the Year. His nba career only lasted for 2 nba seasons. And he is now an assistant coach for Duke.

Some good college players never translated their game in the NBA. Smith lacked size and shooting.

He couldn't make a shot to save his life and the worst thing is he was so slow. You better have one of those abilities if you're gonna make it in the NBA.

True. It's one of the main reasons he was the 21st draft pick in their draft class. His draft stocks went down after the nba pre draft camp. He was projected as a top 12th pick.
