BEIJING — While China appears to have reduced coronavirus cases to near zero, other infectious threats remain, with local health authorities announcing a suspected bubonic plague case in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
Authorities in the Bayannur district raised the plague warning on Sunday, ordered residents not to hunt wild animals such as marmots and to send for treatment anyone with fever or showing other possible signs of infection.
Plague can be fatal in up to 90% of people infected if not treated, primarily with several types of antibiotics.

Trump's fault!
Imagine if China releases this to the U.S. 90% of the population will be wiped out before people realize it's not a conspiracy.
Antibiotics is the sign of the devil!!

plague has been extremely rare yet consistent throughout the past hundred or so years. there's even an average of ten cases in the states every year, mostly in the southwest. beside obviously spreading through animals, it can be found lurking in remote environments in mostly asia, maybe europe iirc. i got to reading about that shit when covid was ramping up... it's fascinating stuff. imagine living in the 1300's when the bubonic plague wiped out 50 million people worldwide without any source of news or info to be found besides spoken word.

Bubonic Plague pops up every once in a while. It's no big deal now. Someone got it in Idaho in 2018.
