LA is basically a 22/9 type player in his prime, average defender. Would Aldridge be enough of an addition for Lebron and the Cavs to get the finals in those years?

I would imagine so for sure in 2009, but 2010 is still a toss up to me with how good the Celtics were.

Cavs turned down Amare Stoudemire because they didn't want to give up J.J. Hickson. :facepalm

You're just adding Aldridge to the team? They absolutely make the Finals in '09, 2010 is tougher because I don't know if the Cavs can survive LeBron playing so poorly down the stretch of that series

Every single all star big man Lebron has ever played with didn't play in the post with him. big Z, jamison, bosh, and love... all spacers.

Anyone that watched LMA back then knows he was a straight iso post guy. that was his game. i don't see that meshing with Lebron at all.

Aldridge and AD play nothing alike.

Davis is a super athletic face up player... LMA was a slow, strong post guy with a nice little turn around J.

Lets see what he does without Kawhi in the playoffs. I started from his prime 2014 and went until 2019 but minus 16/17 with Kawhi.

2014- present he's at 51.5% TS in playoffs

And trust me he ain't no damn Pippen when it comes to defense. Aldridge is a scrub.

They probably win it all in 2009.

Maybe in 2010 also...assuming Lebron doesn't fake another injury :lol

He was in the playoffs five times in Portland from 2008-2015. 22/9/2 49% TS if we cut it off from when he became an all-star (2012), he went 25/11/2 48% TS across 16 games during two playoff runs.

His counting numbers are as expected but you are right, his efficiency was poor, especially for a PF.

Back to Back NBA titles. Miami with Wade, Carmelo, and Bosh would be their toughest opponent in 2011.
