A person with knowledge of the situation says that Kawhi Leonard did not accompany the Los Angeles Clippers on their flight to Central Florida on Wednesday night for the restart of the NBA season.
Leonard’s absence was excused and he is expected to join the team at the Disney complex near Orlando sometime in the next few days, said the person who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the team did not publicly disclose the matter.
Yahoo Sports first reported that Leonard was not on the flight to the Orlando area.
I mean, lmao. Unless someone in his family is in the hospital(in which case it's completely understandable)... this is ridiculous.
Kawhi has to be the highest maintenance superstar of all time... and that includes LeBron. Amazing, really. Just amazing. What an entitled little shit, lol.

Long term I don't know what that does for team chemistry. Harrell and Beverly IIRC had issue with it earlier in the season, two trench guys who have to justify their place every game.

Agreed. It is a huge threat to them. They may be the most talented team but because of Kawhi being in and out all the time it wouldn't be shocking if they lost in the WCF or even the WCSF to a team like the Rockets.

Kawhi isn't going to play until 45+.
He literally JUST turned 29 and his body can barely handle NBA games as it currently stands and you think it'll hold out until 45? LUL. Hopefully you were just being sarcastic.

Who cares, this season isn't even going to finish. Clippers would be the favorites to win under normal circumstances but this is just one big asterisk season.
NBA should have just cancelled it and used the next 4 months to prep for next season.

Quick check of Bball reference says his longest stretch as a Raptor was 9 games from November 23rd until December 9th 2018.
As a member of the Clippers, his longest stretch is 11 right up until the season was suspended.

Hard to want to see anybody win. 10+ years of sports where I root against almost everybody because the majority of those in line have constant luxury of picking and choosing...like they approach each other early on and say this just ain't their year, then they take turns.

Doc said Kawhi was in great shape during the virus, I don't think he needs full version of training camp. All kawhi needs is the scrimmages that happen in week two or whenever. 8 games warm up reg season. Playoffs he will be the terminator. Don't say I didn't warn you.
