View Full Version : I can't bear modern announcers...

Reggie Miller
Webber
Burke
Van Gundy
Jackson
Breen

Mute them all. Half the time they prattle nonsense. Van Gundy wants to be commissioner or an nba rules lobbyist.

Listen to 90s commentary. So much better for me.

Also, didn't seem to be dominated by former players/coaches/wannabees.

So looks like mute again until this improves. Modern commentary grates me like someone talking over a movie...

Would prefer a crowd noise than commentary.

Ps. Florida now has about 10 times more cases than Nevada. Should the restart have been in Vegas? 2021 in Vegas?

Reggie Miller is great. He is unbearlievable.

I bearly notice him because he knows the x's and o's of the game as well as anyone.

Reggie is smarter than the average bear.

Marv albert is still the best

The whole nba family will definitely miss him once he's gone someday.

Yes. Unsure about best.

There are many good announcers. Hubie Brown and Marv deserve lifetime achievement awards though.

Both have made the NBA better.

i dont like the color commentators much either but the pbp guys are awesome. breen harlan eagle are all a great balance of informative/excitement. Like them all better than even albert when he was good and costas was boring

the goat for me is Jim Durham, who announced the bulls' games from 87-91'

the best in my eyes

makes you feel like you're there and that it's really important big deal

Didn't know his name, so thanks. I remember the bulls commentators were great.

As in you could listen to these excellent commentators as if it was the radio...and still be part of the excitement - even without seeing the game.

Well, in the 2k games that I've played, i believe his commentating was pretty awesome to listen to.

Yeah, this is subjective. Breen's 'bang' makes me mute the audio...

Harlan amazing

Eagle not sure who (I don't know many of the commentators by name)

When Harlan cares, he's the best in the game:

He kills it the whole game but 0:30 to 1:00 is awesome.
