Lakers guard Rajon Rondo suffered a "significant" hand injury during practice on Sunday evening, sources told me and @malika_andrews. Rondo, 34, underwent medical evaluation on his hand and thumb, sources said, and the severity of the injury should be known Monday morning

Karma comes back to bite you in the ass. Rondo was complaining about the amenities of the hotel so he got what he wanted- a hand injury. :oldlol: That's a big L for the backcourt rotation. The Lakers backcourt are looking thin now. Huge loss for LAL.

Sure, Rondo's metrics are horrible.. but now all they have is Lebron/Cook. That's gonna be a lot more from Lebron needed. If Cook isn't bombing 3's he's literally worthless. At least Rondo would have a big playoff game here and there or randomly get hot.

During regular season I would say Lakers wouldn't miss a beat without him. Playoffs Rondo will be missed.

Sounds like the same injury he had earlier in the season.

Thought he must have punched a wall when I read the title.

Injuries already. Ouch.

Damn, the odds stacking against LeBron already. Lakers are definitely the underdog now. If LeBron manages to pull this off, he holds the greatest four rings in NBA history.

This will be an opportunity for Dion/Smith to have more playing time so that's a blessing in disguise

Blessing in disguise. Addition by subtraction. Lakers should be the favorite by far.

Caruso finna have to activate the Delly tapes

Despite that, he still has an iconic playoff moment compared to that gerbil curry.

It would be a miracle if LeBron can will this team to a championship

6 Weeks would mean that he misses the 1st round of the playoffs, if it's 8 weeks I think he will miss the 2nd round as well. Either way he could be back for WCF and finals, though he would obviously be quite rusty when he comes back, and this is all assuming Lakers make it that far.

Big blow to the Lakers especially since Avery is also out, but they do still have Lebron as the main ballhandler.

Yeah he's 34 years old. He's nearing the retirement age for the league.
