View Full Version : Isn’t it weird how Lebron is one of the oldest players?

Remember when he was just a teenager and then came into the league at 18? Now all of a sudden the kids think of him as a grandpa. One thing nobody can control is time. Everybody gets old. It’s weird though how basketball years are more than normal years. One time when Garnett was still playing a reporter asked him about how he’s able to play at an old age. He seemed offended and said, “I guess in basketball I’m old but in real life I’m just another 30 something year old man right?”

His age more pronounced because of that thick beard he has nowadays.

I wish he did that when he was still facing the warriors during kd's time.

well Lebron missed the POs without AD, so AD should be the one winning FMVPs

He said this from the other thread

How.did MJ do in his 5 years w/o Pippen?
I heard

Zero rings
Zero finals
Zero ecf
Zero ecsf
Zero 1st round wins

He's developed an insane god like IQ over the past couple seasons. He's gonna have a much longer decline then most everyone. It wont be short and sudden.

The gray in his beard definitely helps makes this even more pronounced.

On one hand it is weird simply because it's been such a long time. On the other hand, it actually feels like it's been a very long time. I was 11 when LeBron first started in the NBA. I'm 28 now. It was only two years after 9/11, White Chicks hadn't even come out, iPods had only been around for two years, iPhones were four years away from coming out, no one knew who tf Drake was, 50 Cent was the biggest rapper in the world, Hov didn't retire for the first time yet, , Obama wouldn't be president for five years, we'd never had a Black president, Bush was president, etc. The list just goes on. The world was a waayyyy different place back then and it actually feels like that was a really long time ago. LeBron's been a top 10 player for most of my life lol. It's insane.

I mean it’s possible. But it’s also an asterisk season. No one takes it truly serious. Just like 1999, and 2012.
