I like him. His “If they get me they get me” approach is pretty old school. Will jump with whoever. Feel like Theo Ratliff that way or maybe one of those old Georgetown centers who went for every block(Mutombo, Ewing, Zo and later Hibbert). But when you look into it? He doesn’t even block many shots. I respect him though. I’d take him on my team.

He doesn't play a lot of minutes, which explains his block numbers. He blocks shots at a good rate, but he definitely doesn't block shots anywhere near the same rate as any of the guys you listed in the OP. Those guys are amongst the best shot blockers to ever do it, while Allen is a great shot blocker, he's not on that level.

Block numbers today are kinda deflated because players today are taking way more jumpshots and less contested layups

Allen would easily average 3+ blocks a game in a different era and his body hasn't even finished developing he's still only 22.

One thing that pisses me off about him tho is that he constantly fumbles the simplest passes. He has butter fingers

I dont watch many games nowadays but he is basically my type of player with the defense and shotblocking. Thats the way I play pickup when I was younger lol.

he's basically a gobert junior or rich man's capela. which is very valuable in today's league.

Always thought he was under rated from boxscores, but hardly watched his games.

He wore the cool ninja style headband and the NBA banned it. It reminded me of the Bushido Brown character from the Boondocks.

Not a chance he's better than Capela :lol Allen gets bullied by Embiid every single second he is on the court covering him.

But he isn't bad, I actually root for him because he keeps his head down and doesn't talk smack. Seems like a humble dude, most other Nets players can learn a thing from him :oldlol:

Allen is way more skilled offensively, all Capela can do is catch lobs, Allen is leading the entire NBA in field goal percentage.

Allen is a way better overall defender as well, his overall defensive awareness and ability to defend the pick & roll makes up for his lack of upper body strength which he's working on

Capela has been a net negative for the Rockets this season hence why they traded him

Like 2/3 of the time I see him play I think he's a starter in the league, and 1/3 of the time I think he's best as the first big-man off a bench on a top team.
