You are a teams franchise player while also taking on the role of being the toughest guy on your team. Push comes to shove and you are at the forefront, protecting teammates and talking trash to guys on the other squad and not backing down from the physicality.

Karl Malone played this role for the Jazz and also Barkley with his teams. Ewing is capable of this but we all know Oakley and Mason did the dirty work.

Which other guys fit this mold in the 90s and maybe alltime?

I think Shaq is a good mention. He was the biggest man on the court and wasn't afraid to drop somebody.

LeBron James is the obvious choice you missed

Definitely. He is probably one of the better examples for this.

Didnt really try to list down everyone but you are definitely right that Lebron is his teams enforcer in some years.

Very nice examples. Reed is obviously way before my time but that video is something else. Shades of the malice at the palace that i always try to forget.

Westbrook on the Thunder post KD

In a similar vein I also think Gary Payton on the Sonics post Kemp qualifies for this.
