Not many of you may have remembered but Harden took a vicious elbow to the head from the Metta World Peace (formerly Ron Artest) during a game against the Lakers in the playoffs when he was with the Thunder. I’m not talking just a normal rebound scuffle inadvertent brush. No, this was a full wind up elbow to the head that knocked Harden out of the game. Some people even thought he died on the court.

Years after Harden goes on to Houston and finds a way to become a superstar. His career could’ve been done after that elbow. It’s still amazing to me. Anyone else think he was done after that?

Was definitely a scary moment. Like, Artest hit him full force with windup. And it's not like Artest was some scrawny guy. Dude was jacked at the time. Harden is extremely lucky to have walked away from that basically unharmed. Did he even get a concussion?
