I went to a catholic private high school all 4 years. We had a religion class there all for years and my last two years there we learned about Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Islam and Taoism. From their origins to their core belief system. I'm glad I had these classes because it greatly helped me shape my own belief system being educated on so many out there. In public schools they don't teach these things and most opinions on different religions aren't even researched. They're just assumed by one group of people you grow up around. You can easily go into the Internet and learn, but most people don't.
