How much worse than 2008 is this going to get? There’s far more people that can’t pay a loan today than compared to back then

$600/wk on top of unemployment stops next week. That's going to be the straw to break the camel's back

no.

the straw that breaks the camel's back is the next crisis we have to encounter... which will probably be Trump wining the election... or Trump getting JFK'd

economy should be fine for a few more months as long as we can avoid another crisis.

More bailouts to come.

Gm and co. will probably file for bankruptcy once again.

This is the end stage of the U.S. dollar as the world's reserve currency. If anyone doesn't understand the implications of that statement (whether it's true or not), they should not be commenting in this thread offering up ideas. You should also be terrified.

This is a continuation of what happened in 2008. The economy never actually recovered. They just printed their way around it and covered it up. Have any of you ever wondered why vehicle prices have skyrocketed in the last decade, and why real estate prices have absolutely spiked up in the past 10 years and in some cases exceeded their all time highs? Asset bubbles. Major, major asset bubbles.

This isn't COVID-19's fault... COVID-19 is just the accelerant. You've got a fire burning, and you pour a nice huge supply of gas onto it. That's the virus's contribution.

The politicians aren't going to stop the unemployment benefits and or stimulus payments prior to the election... they have too much riding on it... thus accelerating the rate of the approaching death blow even further. We are printing away the purchasing power of the dollar with each passing day and thus our status.

You need to seriously consider at least putting some money into Bitcoin and or gold and or silver. However, that being said, the collapse could be so catastrophic for the U.S. specifically, that having BTC, gold and silver might not even matter in the slightest. You might need to just learn how to live off of the land and feed yourself via hunting and farming/gardening. At the very damn least, considering how many firearms are out there, you should buy a gun.

I suspect this is a bait thread. Additionally, cue the trolls.

Also the timelines are impossible to predict. Nobody knows the future with any certainty in terms of exact timelines. The only certainty is the United States is approaching doing every possible thing within its power to **** itself economically. I mean, it already has, it's now just a matter of how much worse it will get.

So you're saying sell off everything?

Keep only your best stocks. Like definitely hold onto Apple/Microsoft stocks, other long-term value stocks. I would drop short-term momentum stocks
