View Full Version : Ja & JJJ, two very unique players. What are hybrid player comparisons for both?

This might be spamming my home team but i dont give AF. I would really like to see what people come up with
Hyper athletic, play making floor general/ scorer
Sharp shooting/Shot blocking 7ftr who can guard/switch on the perimeter and handle the ball some (above avg for his size and getting better)
Pick a mix of two (or 3 if you want) that would fit these players archetypes

JJJ actually got exposed this year. Some data shows him as a bottom 10 defender in the NBA if I recall after so much superstar defensive anchor hype last year. His impact metrics across the board dropped slightly this season. For a guy with that much hype he's been mediocre. Look at the leap worse prospects like SGA took for example. He's crazy gifted but something is missing upstairs TBH.
Also Morant is everyone's favorite right now, but the hype is a bit much. He will likely be a perennial all star and great player for years, but people are talking like he's the PG of the next decade. I don't see him being better than SGA or Trae.

Its his fouling. If he gets that under control, the sky is the limit for that KID. He was the youngest player in 2018 draft class. Hes younger than Ja.
And im sorry but IMO the eye test doesnt match up with those stats . The grizz had the 8th best defense second half of the sesaon. Is JV anchoring this defense? Ja Morant? When i watch jackson, i just dont see a scenario where he doesnt become an elite defender. And calling a 7ftr whos shooting over 6 3s a game on a 40% clip mediocre? And these arent open catch and shoot 3s. He hits in transition, off the dribble, going around screens.... He was the 4th best isolation player in the league this year
