A 2003-04 LeBron James Upper Deck rookie Patch Parallel card is the most valuable basketball card in history at $1.845 million.
The remarkable thing is that the card was released only 17 years ago and LeBron is still playing!
Unbelievable.
And it goes to show you what LeBron's status and reputation is in this world. It's not just talk. People are putting their money where their mouth is.
Pure GOAT stuff.
The most expensive Michael Jordan card is actually a hybrid Jordan/LeBron card and it peaked at $900,000, but MJ needed LeBron James to be on that card with him to reach that price.
The most expensive solo Jordan card went for only $350,100 - it was once called "The Holy Grail of modern cards" and now it's just a minor footnote.
