Also, the cops weren't wrong. The lady was resisting arrest and she brandished a firearm, even if she was running away. She clearly displayed intent to resist in a violent and possibly life threatening manner.

Stupid bitch got the minimum of what she deserved.

So the cops get called out because someone was firing a gun. The lady was being hysterical and unhinged from the get go. Should have restrained her immediately yet they don’t. Then they find bullets and drugs, it’s plain to see she has her holster on. If they treated this incident like she was a black male she would have never been shot. It’s a miracle (or a tragedy) that she survived. Those guys should be fired.

I see what you are saying but not necessarily. Maybe if they handcuffed her from the beginning and she never has a chance to access her firearm, meaning she never would have been shot at.

That is what I’m saying. They weren’t on guard and were way too relaxed. If they were all on point and cuffed her immediately none of that would have happened. They were very unfocused though. Basically they let their guard down because it was some fat white woman and people almost died because of it. Extremely poor policing.

I think with tasers cops generally plant their feet and the person is usually standing still or coming directly at them? I'm not positive since I've never used one, but it might be hard chasing someone down from behind(might not be able to reach that far) on the run to hit someone with a taser and only having one shot. And since the suspect had a gun, they could have potentially just started firing backwards at the cop.

Ideally you would use a taser but if somebody has a gun, I don't know. Fleeing with a gun is dumb. Fleeing at all is dumb. I'm sure the taser would have worked on her if he had been able to taser her, but tasers don't always work on everybody. Some dudes just stand there taking it and fighting through it, ripping the prongs out to beat the cops ass. Also, did they say what drugs they were on? If it was meth or even coke, who knows what that woman was capable of doing. Most people on meth are insane, and plenty of people on coke are amped up/ready to take on anything.

It looked like she tried to suicide by cop. Once they started taking her drugs and scales out she knew she was done. It’s hard to tell but it looks like she tried to shoot herself with her putting her gun near under her chin before a cop grabs it. I think the gun was knocked out of her hand by the time she was running too. Regardless it looked like a suicide attempt rather than her trying to kill someone in my opinion. Doesn’t change any of the facts what happened. She made insanely poor decisions and paid for them. The cops are still at fault for not taking immediate control of the situation and allowing all of this to happen.

Come on KD7, you've been making good comments for a while now. Sort of. She had gun which she fired at the officers, a taser works about 50 percent of the time, because you have to make good contact with the person, and you only get two shots. That is not the time to be using a taser. Gun versus taser, it's not a battle that's going to look good for the officers with the taser.
