The Lakers didn't even make the playoffs last year... AD comes and they're a 1 seed. Check the splits... Davis is the best player on Los Angeles. But 1-3 were far more egregious and pretty much discredit the whole list.

You can always find advanced stats to nit-pick to support a narrative, all we know is that AD leads the Lakers in ppg, rpg, spg, bpg, PER & WS/48.

They were going downhill far before injuries. Lebron was sitting out games, trying to package the young guns ingram, ball, and kuzma for Davis. It was the total talk of their 2019 season especially in january and february as the deadline loomed near. I watched it happen. In the end it worked. But he tanked it for him because there was no way they were winning anything in the playoffs with those young guys. Even now we see a prime peak AD is worth way more than all of them combined.

That's not true... Davis has better offensive and defensive efficiency on same volume.

Yup. The season fell apart when Lebron was taking extra time to rest while trying to ship everyone out there & that shit got leaked at deadline, team had 0 chemistry when Lebron returned and most of the team (minus Zo) was still out there & healthy... they were right there in the Playoff race and lost almost every game with Lebron once he activated "Playoff mode", couldn't even close out a game against the sorry ass Knicks.

They Lakers had playoff seeding before LeBron got hurt. BTW tpols and ImKobe, LeBron has the best rpm/bpm and leads the Lakers in assists. These are stats I see you guys mention in the 90s threads. And they are allegedly the "best" out there. So again, how is LeBron>Davis a bad take? At worst they are 1a/1b.

I've never hyped assists or rpm whatever that is. I look at ORTG (umbrella offensive efficiency) on similar volume, DRTG, and intangibles. AD factually leads in the first two categories, and the third for me is a draw.

It's not really about who the better player is, it's that the Lakers are great because they have two top 5 players. I have no problem with people taking Lebron over AD, but I have a problem with people trashing AD and acting like he's not one of the main reasons why we're a #1 seed. Ok, so you found some on/off numbers and rpm numbers that favor Lebron, that still doesn't erase AD's production and worth to the team.

You told me Kidd is one of your favorite players. If not for assists then he is hardly elite. bpm/rpm are stats I see thrown around here constantly, now all of the sudden nobody knows what they are? Yeah, sure. You're not being consistent at all. ImKobe that is fair. LeBron is the best player imo however AD was trending earlier in the season. His production is great no matter what I say, hence ESPN putting him at 5.

Kidd's DRTG stats are off the charts incredible and give him positive over all splits. His offense especially as a first option on the Nets wasn't very good. He was a defensive anchor at point guard and every stat points to that on top of me watching it all. Nets won with defense, not offense or "assists". He did throw some fancy ones though.

If not for assists, Kidd's impact on defense wouldn't be enough to make him an MVP candidate. Come on man. You're reaching here.

I'm not saying he didn't have nice dimes... but his shooting / scoring was poor as a first option enough to make the overall types of offenses he generated below average. OTOH he could make your team a #1 rank defense so his impact mostly came from that. Nash is another brilliant player like kidd, who sucked on defense, and yet is regarded on a similar tier all time because his offense was so much better. Why? Not passing, but because of his elite shooting scoring ability 50/40/90 shotmaking.

Lakers offensive rating and defensive rating are both better when Anthony Davis is off the court, he has no right being in top 5.

Basically another Kevin Love/Aldridge/Bosh type that's getting overrated because he's on an elite team and he's on Lakers.

Jesus, they basically turn into the Curry/Durant Warriors when he's off the court. So much for his video game stats. This is one of his last chances to win and he's already failed with Durant/George, he better step up this year.

Steven Adams defensive rebound rate went from 14.8% last season to 23.8% this year. Wonder why?

Jokic Above Embiid. Doncic lower, man hasn't proven sheet in the playoffs.. Would take Dame, Tatum over him.. Also J Butler needs to be a bit lower..
