Interestingly, both also seem to have similar runs in the season. By this, i mean leading their respective teams to at least 60 wins in the regular season, thus earning the top seeds throughout the league and in the playoffs, going all the way to the ecf in which they fall short 2-4 against their respective opponents.

I think this is LeBron. He was a more balanced scorer and could make a variety of shots Giannis to date couldn't dream of.

Their impact is similar, but LeBron is a far superior passer/playmaker and a significantly better shooter from everywhere. Giannis is athletic, but this version of LeBron is maybe as athletic as anyone has ever been. His speed and acceleration and coordination and strength and reflexes were just off the charts for anyone above 6'6." Giannis is a super athlete, but not at this level.

Also consider that LeBron had not one player nearly as good as Middleton but still won 66 games to Giannis' 60. His playoff run was also spectacular

This is decisively LeBron for me!

This is LeBron easily. 09 LeBron was absurd. Regular season stats for LeBron are wrong btw

2009 Playoffs LBJ had like a 37 PER. Record setting. If Giannis makes the ECF he wont even sniff a 37 PER

LeBron was much better offensively. Better player.

I feel the same way now but Giannis has stepped into DPOY territory defensively. It’s easily a coin flip so far.

Does Giannis lose to Dwight Howard and an And1 point guard?

Will it be worse losing to Jayson Tatum?

LeBron is a better player in general.

Particularly because he's much more intelligent.

But he is also a more complete player, obviously.

Giannis is also not making the same kind of splash, for various reasons. People just could care less about him.

You LeHype James nut huggers seem a bit threatened by Giannis, HAHAHAHA. Rightly so, LeHypes time has come and gone. Giannis is the new KING. Only reason the Lakers might win a chip this year is because of Anthony Davis, and ESPN.

Giannis doesn't even come close

Giannis is better.

PER 36

Giannis 35/16/7
Lebron 27/7/7

Giannis had the Bucks at a 67-win Pace and their team was 9 - 1 without Middleton. Lebron was nowhere near close to being a DPOY (Dwight won by a landslide) while Giannis is the DPOY favorite.

The thread is about 2019 Giannis, idiot. Anyways, since you brought up the fact that the Bucks are 9-1 without Middleton, why'd you leave out the fact that the Bucks are 5-3 without Giannis? That's a 51 game win pace.

LeBron wasn't close to winning a DPOY? He was 2nd in DPOY voting in 2009. He lost out to one of the GOAT defenders in Dwight. If 2009 Dwight was in the league this season, Giannis wouldn't get a single first place vote.

As for the thread, quite easily LeBron. 2009 LeBron did every single thing significantly better than Giannis, except for rebounding.

We all witness when Lebron missed the playoff in the West =(

Glad AD carried a soup can like Lebron to the playoff this year though

lebron is legit overrated, dude lost to Dwight surrounded by shooters. Now imagine what giannis surrounded by shooters would do to him? Foh, Giannis by a ****ing mile

The bucks are trash without giannis, the 5 games they won without him, were literally again far below .500 teams. You’re smoking crack rock if you legit think giannis wasn’t on this bucks team they’d sniff 50 wins. Giannis is the superior defensive player and quiet frankly offensive to layer to than 09 bro . Foh

Giannis would have the same problem Lebron had. How's a guy that does nothing but rim run going to score on peak Dwight in the paint with any type of consistency? At least Lebron had a jumper... Giannis would be locked down worse than he was in the Raptor series.

Rudeboy3
07-29-2020, 05:48 PM
Giannis is as stronger if not stronger than prime Dwight, his length will give him no problems, he’ll foul out Dwight. The magic had no where near the level of defensive personnel the raptors did, so miss me with that.

tpols

There's no way giannis is stronger than 2009 dwight. Dwight used to barrel through double teams from a stand still. Giannis needs a running start to generate that type of momentum.

Rudeboy3

You really don’t watch giannis often if you don’t think he’s strong, he runs through guys like they’re nothing

These are nothing but a sample sample, just of taste of how he bully’s guys inside.

A couple of months ago before the season got suspended, Giannis got bodied by 35 year old LeBron.

Couldn't do jackshit against an old ass LeBron. Dude would get eaten and shit out by peak Dwight.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9t8XPWD_cU

He couldn't even move an ancient LeBron and he's gonna body peak Dwight? LMAO. FOH, kid. You must be 10, if you actually believe that.

And those Cavs teams without LeBron couldn't beat ANYONE.

They went 0-7 in 2008.

They went 0-1 in 2009.

They went 1-5 in 2010.

Heck the last 4 seasons, with the Cavs (2015-2018), the Cavs went 4-24 without LeBron.

As for defense, MVP Giannis (1st team All-Def, BTW) let a 34 and 35 year old LeBron drop 30/9/7 on his dome the past couple of seasons.
