There might be cultural difference. Hitting kids is a usual disciplinary measure over there (or the rest of the world for that matter).

Don't know any European countries where sport coaches hit kids.

Western European countries like France and Germany probably no chance but do not under estimate what goes on in Some Eastern European countries like Hungary, Romania or Serbia, and I won't even Start with Russia
