First of all, that was a forced shot with 11 seconds left on the shot clock when he could have kicked it out to Waiters or over to Caruso once the defense collapsed on him. But the reason for this post is why it worked out for Lebron. Notice how all five Clippers are near Lebron? Not a one of them boxes him out after the shot is released.

It's like the bad contested three point shots players today often take with nobody to rebound at the start of the shot clock, and nobody says anything about it.

Look at they, just give Lebron a free path in the paint to grab the board. I don't know what Leonard was doing there.

Leonard figured 4 guys are in front of Lebron, he didn't know they were dumb enough to just stand there and watch him.

You can't touch the guy with the ball, especially at the end of the game with score tied. And there was not enough time to box him out between his shot and rebound, it was less than a second.
