Hello, Uncle Wang!

China is dominating.

Maoist communism is like a slow drip of water turning into an ocean of Red.

Isn't it ironic that unchecked capitalism is what made China that big of a force?

Yes. It is.

Steve Jobs' baby fueled China's smartphone empire and not the American middle class.

I never thought of it that way, but you are technically correct. We made China what it is today. We are massive consumers who want everything cheap - we sent jobs to China, we take in lots of Chinese exports, we allowed lots of Chinese students to be educated here & return home to join their ranks to build up China, we gave them control of our business chains, we develop lots of IP (intellectual property) that they steal from us, we allow them to buy our property/assets/debts so we owe them now.. All positive things that capitalism helped build up are also what led to the issues like China's tremendous power that is a threat to all of Democracy around the world.

The very thing that built us up to our best will probably also be our demise, if we continue to let it run amok out of control towards corporatism (Mr Robot is the scenario we are on the path to with one corporation running everything - a powerful Chinese communist like Xi might very well control that single corporation if we continue on this path).

Not saying capitalism is good or bad, but that you can't be completely hands-free with it & let it run towards whatever path it runs. Eventually, it will run to the extreme end, which is corporatism.
