Deaths and Mortality
Data are for the U.S.
Number of deaths: 2,813,503
Death rate: 863.8 deaths per 100,000 population
Life expectancy: 78.6 years
Infant Mortality rate: 5.79 deaths per 1,000 live births
Source: Deaths: Final Data for 2017, tables 1, 3, 13 pdf icon[PDF – 2 MB]
Number of deaths for leading causes of death:
Heart disease: 647,457
Cancer: 599,108
Accidents (unintentional injuries): 169,936
Chronic lower respiratory diseases: 160,201
Stroke (cerebrovascular diseases): 146,383
Alzheimer’s disease: 121,404
Diabetes: 83,564
Influenza and Pneumonia: 55,672
Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome and nephrosis: 50,633
Intentional self-harm (suicide): 47,173
Basically a million people per year die from the conditions underlined on the list. That's not in a covid year. That's roughly every year. We can assume 2017 was a typical year.
But people dying from any of the underlined conditions THIS year while testing positive for covid proteins (which are innocuous to most carriers) are being counted as corona deaths. And that's generous, there are probably people dying of Alzheimers, nephrosis, and even stroke being counted as covid. Hospitals gotta get that covid incentive money!
It's an obvious attempt to manufacture a distraction and keep people divided.
It's so obvious and yet... so many lower IQ people would rather be "scared together" than "think alone."
Crazy!
And sad!

We should be on the safe side and wear gloves, at least two to three masks, eye goggles, and booties....pretty much forever. Old people may die if not.

Lol you liberals are too much. Masks and PPE are useless for a virus this weak. Just like HIV/AIDS that only kills 15,820 Americans per year, weak virus. PPE is as useless as condoms for virus prevention. Time to promote bareback sex and sharing needles, think of all the money that can be saved to help the obese instead.

Wrong.
We should permanently prohibit all social contact of any kind forever. Because even when corona goes away, people might still contract the normal flu and die. Statistically that does happen every year. It's just not worth it.
We can't go on living this way. No human is ever supposed to die from anything.

Dying in a car crash is classified as an unnatural death. It's a shocking, incredibly sad way for anyone to pass. A friend of mines parents both died in a devastating car accident.
Dying as an 86 year old with CVD/cancer/cold symptoms is classified as a natural death. This is probably news to LAmbruh, pew, and perhaps bladefd too, but this is actually something that happens in life. If we're lucky, we grow very old and pass away.

Lol those are deaths with drunk driving or suspected drunk driving.
And actual car crashes are ~10x reported cases.
Actual death rate from drunk driving is laughably low.
They were probably old anyway and shouldn't count.

Also, - and this is key - I'm not arguing that we force hundreds of thousands of businesses to close, indefinite stay-at-home orders, breathalyzer mandates, 53 million job losses, and multi-trillion dollar stimulus packages for the illusion that we can prevent these deaths from happening.

looks like the U.S. mortality rate from traffic accidents is roughly the same as the national suicide rate
looks like Europe is where people actually drive a car well: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_traffic-related_death_rate
apparently the U.S. death rate from cars is 2.3 times that of Canada

The chart has a huge logo that says Texas HHS, yet Texas HHS says they are not the creator. The chart says over 30% death rate for flu (misleading), the Math for covid death rate is wrong. Does this count as a single one? This was one of your favorite charts too (you must have posted it at least 4 times). I didn’t want to dig this up but you were practically begging me to. :(

Already addressed it.
The chart itself wasn't created by someone at Texas HHS, but the data was taken straight from the HHS website, and that's all that matters.
The chart doesn't say 30% death rate for flu. It says 30% case fatality rate, which is true, because we don't test much for the flu. It's misleading to people (you) who don't understand case fatality rates.
The entire point I was making was about the seasonal flu deaths in Texas vs COVID, and that people in Texas (primetime) shouldn't be panicking this year when he gave no shits in 2018 and 2019.
Again, the data itself was taken straight from the HHS.

It would still be a shitty chart that tries to compare very low tested flu numbers and it’s deaths (30% lol) vs highly tested Covid numbers and it’s deaths to downplay covids seriousness. Data could be right, but the matter it was presented was undoubtedly to exaggerate flu numbers and downplay Covid numbers. Extremely misleading and full of agenda. Not to mention it’s comparing 12 months of flu to 7 months of Covid. So yea it would still be pretty fake imo.
And who counts death rate by dividing by the entire Texas population? That’s just wrong. It should be divided by total actual cases, known and unknown. Fake death rates on the fake chart.
The death rate of covid just doubled in Texas to 0.025% (7341 deaths / population of Texas 29,677,668) according to the charts calculations. It’s killing people twice as hard now. And if we calculated death rate according to the chart, it can only go up and never go down lol. Even if there’s no deaths from now on until forever the death rate will never go down lol. I’m sure Texas HHS will approve of these death rates. :facepalm

It's misleading if you don't understand how to interpret the data.
Key takeaways from the data:
-Lots of people died from flu season in 2018 & 2019 and nobody cared
-We test a lot for COVID, but not for flu
-Texas COVID looks like a bad flu season, but it's not over yet, so we'll have to see
-It is lacking median age of death, quite important for context
Also, I've posted tons more charts than that one. Is that your best example?

it seems that the argument here is simple, the question at hand is really regarding how does one 'heal' from COVID
while there are the common denominators such as side effects and hidden causes, what's truly at play is the quote "the power of compound interest the most powerful force in the universe." by Albert Einstein.
say if you were affected by the flu this season, and the reason being, it's "the flu" and your immune system was 'down'. what you're inherently saying is, even if you were to recover from this very flu season, in your very future, your exposure to the flu actually, remains the same, and in fact, based on the idea of compound interest, it might actually kill you one day. Hence the idea of dividing death rates by total population instead of total cases
so then the logic remains, why does a simple statement such as "if we eliminate the carrier, we eliminate the disease" has yet to hold true? I, myself, can only go back to the reasoning that our cognitive ability is still cloud by sexualities in which has proven to reduce growth, and hence, our immune system can be temporarily shut down based on our fight or flight response.

Is that your best example?
yeah he out-charted you

Crazy!
And sad!
Good post and thread, yet sad at the same time

Africa + China are home to ~35% of the worlds total population (~2.6 billion people), and combined these two regions of the world have ~25k covid deaths (and only ~4.5k deaths from China, the origin of the outbreak). If you toss in India with Africa and China, you are now covering 52% of the worlds population (~3.9b), and you still only have a grand total of 64k covid deaths from this enormous section of the global population.
Meanwhile, the US is home to ~4% of the worlds total population (330 million people), and we supposedly have have had ~160k covid deaths.
You dont need to be a scientist to see that the numbers and narratives make zero sense.

Fitting picture... this truly is the new 9/11.
You have the same so-called "experts" and "officials" peddling nonsensical narratives that may not be questioned
You have the same ostracization and cancellation of mainstream figures who question the narrative (rip dixie chicks, chris hedges, phil donahue, etc...)
You have the govt/media encouraging people to use the same methods of peer pressure and social shaming against private citizens who dare to question or dissent. You also have the govt encouraging people to rat on any of their neighbors suspected of "wrongdoing".
You have the same politicization ("you're with us ("us" meaning the bush admin military agenda) or you're with the terrorists")
You have the same vast expansions in govt power (and equivalent reductions in rights/liberties) that are supposedly necessary to survive this crisis... expansions in power that will never be relinquished (for example - 20 years later and were still taking our shoes off and getting diddled at the airport... the "new normal")
You have the same "simulations" taking place shortly before the event, where govt officials and private sector interests wargamed the upcoming event with uncanny accuracy (look up "project for a new american century" and "event 201" if you havent heard of these things).
