They did technically leave the bench area so it’s a:

situation far as the NBAs response. But that’s a situation I feel is begging for the court of “Cmon man...”. I’ve been angling for America to adopt a “Cmon man” appeals court for some time. A place to take cases where someone is technically guilty but you let them go anyway. Like the guy who shot his daughters murderer in the back as he was running. Yea....it’s not self defense if he’s running and you can’t defend an already dead kid but...cmon man.

Thats a 2 minute case in a court of common sense and decency.

Perfect situation for a judge to play the:

card.

In a “Cmon man...” court Amare and Diaw walk with maybe a fine but no suspension.

David Stern didn't **** around, much less in his later years.

He didn't want another Ron Artest situation. It's as simple as that. Zero tolerance.

Adam Silver would have handled it differently, for better or worse.

you should be happy dude. Losing to the spurs is excusable. If bron lost to a little white dude yall would have a hard time trying to justify that

Yeah, that probably was the Suns' best shot at a chip in retrospect. The Jazz and Cavs would be weak WCF and finals opponents.

If the Suns win the legacy of Nash is different.

Yeah maybe but Steve's legacy is where it is for a reason. Hes a small guy who cant defend. Guys like that dont win chips. They can win MVP's and look real good in reg season and early playoffs but they dont impact the game enough deep in the playoffs when its more physical and slowed down. Bigger guys still rule that.

Even steph whos the greatest shooter ever and looks like an offensive god in the reg season comes back to earth deep in the playoffs.

This is completely untrue, Steph has had incredible WCF and Finals series.

I legit don't understand how so many people are ignorant of RECENT NBA history...and at the highest levels too. Imagine thinking your opinion matters when you don't even know what just happened with the best players in big playoff series.

Steph literally last year.

36.5/8/7, 66.3 TS% in the WCF
30.5/5/6, 59.8 TS% in the Finals

Pretty overblown event in my opinion. Spurs still win that series IMO. They were the better team. They weren’t a team that struggled to win on the road when and if they needed to.

Probably but if the Cheap Shot Rob thing doesn't happen they have a good shot at beating the Spurs (no guarantee of course) and if that happens they crush the Jazz and Cavs. Nash was flawed (also extremely good at what he did--GOAT-level efficiency improvements for his teammates via his GOAT-level playmaking, was an elite shooter, etc.--he deserved to be MVP) as was his team and they would get those flaws exploited in big series but we are talking small sample sizes. If they play each other for 82 games? Spurs win the lion's share. There is a world where the Nash/Amare era Suns beat the Spurs over a 6-7 game span, though, and 07' was their best shot as it turns out.

Steph fans always fall back on ts% knowing its bullshit. Ts takes foul shooting into account. From the field though in the finals steph usually isnt close to what he is in the regular season. The stats and general eye test show this. Fmvp voters also see this.

Lets take last years finals since you brought it up. In reg season steph was 47% fg and 44% from three. In the finals he was 41% fg and 34% from three. Thats a huge difference. Now compare that to other greats like mj and lebron who get better offensively and also have a huge impact defensively and steph dosnt compare.

yeah maybe but its a big if. Like vegas i look at trends and theres no trend of small gaurds who cant defend winning chips as the best player. Steph was the only exception in 15 and i think you'd agree that was somewhat of an asterisk.

Yeah, maybe a 30-35% chance of winning if it doesn't happen? The shame is that we have this question mark. The NBA should have done the right thing and enforced the spirit, not the letter, of the law since the punishment was extreme relative to the "offense" of a natural reaction of standing up. It isn't as if Amare/Diaw charged the court and started punching Horry. Phoenix lost their leading scorer and a second valuable player; the Spurs lost a washed up bench player.

The Spurs won Game 5 by only 3 points with Amare/Diaw out. Yeah, they lost the next game when they came back but Game 5 is in Phoenix and 6 in San Antonio. Game 7 would have been in Phoenix...

Wow, yeah at this point we can't help you understand. At some point, you need to help yourself. You need to educate yourself. Good luck.

If the Suns keep Amare in 2010 they win the 2011 finals and not Dallas.

It's crazy how Horry single handedly changed the outcome of so many different playoffs; '02, '05, '07, so many championships & legacies altered by him. Even '03 his GW attempt in Game 5 could've changed the entire trajectory of the playoffs
